In the last week it's come out that scientists in Sydney have discovered a deficiency that causes miscarriages and birth defects. I think it's vitamin b6 or b3. Get tested! This is an amazingly great discovery as it's such an easy fix. It's as simple as taking a supplement or eating Vegemite. I urge everyone on this forum to up their intake. Although, they haven't discovered what the recommend dose should be yet. But find out if you have a deficiency.

I love that you said you are choosing to move forward with faith rather than fear ! I said those same words when DH and I were contemplating what we would do. I should be staring bcp in September and transferring in October. We will be due at the same time .. we'll be cycle buddies then pregnancy buddies...this time WE WILL bring our babies home . ?

I am so glad you are taking a little bit of time. It helps! I so hope it will happen for you!

So after reading all your inspiring messages, my DH and i spoke and decided we will be trying again in october.
We are still hurt but we have accepted the unknown and have chosen to move forward with faith rather than fear.
I am sure we will be paranoid a bit but still moving forward and starting again.
Thank you ladies as my biggest help is knowing i am not the only one that has felt this pain.
EG - i look forward to being transfer buddies as i know your prepping for oct as well.

Hang in there, the struggle is real. At least you have healthy ones available and ready. Praying for you ?

Stacey, we tried again 6 months after burying our son. But unfortunately, I've had a few miscarriages since. They were found to be chromosomal, and it actually made me feel better that they could give me a reason.
I never had any fertility issues or trouble getting pregnant (I have a 4yr old daughter - she and my son were conceived naturally), but we decided to go the IVF with PGD route to help avoid another miscarriage for genetic reasons.

Thanks Stacey, I'll mirror what EG has said. So many people have told us about this happening with no explanation and have all gone on to have numerous healthy babies. It's a horrible thing to happen without reason and it's so difficult trying to get through it without anything to blame, but I believe that when you decide to start again it will be fine. Xx

Again, sorry for your loss. I understand how it feels to be uncertain . I still haven't gotten a "why" for my miscarriage at 15 weeks but I have seen so many stories where ladies have have had a loss and went on to have babies so I know it's possible. Meanwhile I'm still doing testing to see if we can figure anything out . Maybe we will be cycle buddies if you try again. I'm waiting for AF this month for additional testing and then supposed to start ivf with AF next month .

Stacy, I'm so sorry for your loss. My heart breaks for you. I've been meaning to message you but I didn't know what to say. I know there's nothing I could say to make you feel any better. This is something you and your husband will get through. Your strong.
Think about the positive... you have more tries and I know you won't give up until you have your little one in your arms.
It might be stormy now but it can't rain forever❤️

Larly so sorry to hear that. Wishing you the best of luck on the 28th.

We lost our little boy at 35 weeks also. We had all the tests done and he was 'normal' so we didn't get closure on why it happened. We just go with he was too good for this world. We are currently going through an FET with transfer scheduled for 28th August x

Amanda yeah we were tested for all those immune disorders before since we are on diagnosed infertility they they tested us for everything prior to the IVF

I need to check my progesterone constantly because I had a bleed scare so they actually raised my progesterone so maybe the bleed I had is what went wrong but we'll never know for sure.

Wow LG I'm so sorry for your loss definitely an awful feeling to not know what went wrong.
the doctor say once I get my period I can do another transfer which would probably be in October I guess I just need to have faith that it will work this time even without answers
how long did you wait before you try it again

My son was stillborn at 35 weeks after a normal, healthy pregnancy. Genetic testing confirmed he was "normal." My husband and I had further testing done on ourselves to make sure we weren't carriers of anything more rare that the tests wouldn't have picked up - and we're not. We had an autopsy done, the placenta tested, as well as all the standard loss testing for clotting disorders, infections, autoimmune disorders, etc. etc. We met with so many specialists and geneticists who all prescribed different tests to try to find an answer. Nothing was ever found.
I feel like we covered the bases as far as trying to solve the mystery of Brendan's death, but we're still left with wondering how and why a seemingly healthy baby could just die weeks before his due date.
Not knowing is awful. I'm sorry you weren't given the closure you need. Lots of luck to you on your next cycle ??

It's awful that you don't have closure. Since baby was normal I'd request to be tested for immune disorders, clotting disorders, and MTHFR mutation if you haven't had those things in the past.
I'm so sorry for your loss

I'm sorry you are going through this :(
Were they checking your progesterone often enough?
