Aubriesmommie, I have a couple friends that had severe morning sickness and would take a puff here and there and were able to eat and it helped nausea tremendously. If I were in their shoes I would sure as hell try it before some of the drugs they give you for morning sickness . And their kids are extremely smart .

That said , I feel sorry for the poor baby of this woman in the original post . That’s a completely different thing .

I don't agree with drinking for sure during pregnancy or smoking weed daily during, but I have smoked weed twice during this pregnancy due to depression and anxiety with approval from my doctor, he says in his experience it only affects the mother's lungs. As long as I'm not positive upon delivery it's not a problem. If you do research on mother's who have smoke during pregnancy, it's actually shown that most of the babies did better with creativity and cognitive skills, some tested the same as mother's who didn't smoke and some tested better then mother's who didn't smoke but there's been no negative studies proven. Our bodies filter most of it. I know I may get attacked for smoking 2 times in this pregnancy but I ain't worried about it at all. And I'm sure out of this entire app im not the only mom to do it either. Smoking cigs during pregnancy has been proven worse then weed lol.

They only take baby if it in its system when born. If she stops now and nothing found in baby system when born the dr wont call dcs. Other wise if tracies of any drugs is found when born baby will be taken away. Dr should warn her before she has baby. They warn them in hoping baby is born healthy and in hopes help the mother. Now they may still call but dcs may not take the child but try help the mother to better herself for the child. This depends on what state ur in also.

I don't understand this! It's so wrong to give your baby alcohol or drugs out of the womb and would result in losing custody of your child and serious charges and possibly jail time.

Yet somehow, the legal system has failed the babies inside the womb. A woman can openly admit to the world that she's an alcoholic and drug addict who uses daily and no actions are taken.

Women who use drugs while pregnant should be locked up in a hospital where them and their baby will be properly cared for.

Same damn thing happened when I was in triage being monitored last time! The girl didn't know how far she was knew she was pregnant at least 20+ weeks along and refuses to tell the baby daddy that she is living with and smokes pot daily, drinks and does molly, coke and pills. I was so tempted to say something but I kept my mouth shut. I'm sure the nurses are supposed to report it legally. It pisses me off so much to hear and see other women doing this knowing they are pregnant. My daughter's aunt on her bio-fathers side smoked meth and drank while she was pregnant and now her baby has a s*** ton of problems and has had 3+ surgeries and will have lifetime problems. He is such a little sweety and I'm glad he is no longer in her custody and with his grandma and papa.

Dont worry. Cases like this the doctor has to report to child protection services as soon as theh find out about this. If she has any type of drug in her system when the baby is born theh will take the baby from her

In my town it's quite common unfortunately to hear this stuff. Some girl openly admitted to smoking crack while pregnant on Facebook. I know so many other girls that are the same.

If she really is doing all that, and it sounds like she is, then the doctor is logging the info and will likely tell dfs/cfs/cps (name depends on area) and they will take the child away when it is born. I wish she wouldn't now, but take comfort in the fact that she likely won't be able to continue harm to the baby once it is born
