Bruises
Does anyone else feel bad going out in public when their kid has a bruise or cut specifically on their face? My son fell and has a little spot by his eye and has a bite I think on his cheek.
My 4 year old is the embodiment of clumsiness.... she once smacked herself in the head with a doorknob..... twice..... it was the same door...the bathroom door...once going in and once going out. So she had 2 fairly large bruises on her face...one on each side... looked like she went a round in the ring with Rocky... and it doesn't help that she's super pail amd anemic so she bruises super easy and then it takes weeks for even the smallest of bruises to heal... the looks we received out in public.....I mean if looks could kill I'd be a dead cat man.
My sons new thing is purposely falling. He decided to fall onto a toy and got a bruise on his cheek. Then today in the car he scratched below his eye with something and now it looks like he's been in a brawl...although it was with himself. Hahahha. I don't care what people think. People are so judgement nowadays.
When my eldest was just over a year old I was in work and my SIL was looking after him. He fell and smacked his head off the fireplace and his face on the floor. He got paper stitches in his forehead but was fine. To cheer him up, myself, my mother and my sis brought him to the shops to see the Christmas decorations and I swear I could actually see his two eyes turning black. I was mortified and couldn't get out quick enough. A little cut was one thing, a cut and two black eyes? No way, I was housebound with him for a week or two lol
Same down lol I think that's why I worry too. It looks like I get beat up. I currently have three baseball sized bruises on my legs and like 20 small ones all over. I don't even know where I get most of them. I worry someone will think something is happening because they are pretty bad.
I felt this way two weeks ago. My son gave himself a massive hickey on his arm ?
We thought he got pinched by a toy until he proceeded to show us what he did. I definitely was like man people are gonna think we abuse him but HE GAVE HIMSELF A HICKEY. thankfully he hasn't done it since.
Small bumps and bruises don't phase me when going out in public. But this thing was insane.
Yea when I see kids that are hurt I don't think they are abused I just think they are clumsy but I still worry someone will think the worst.
I had to go to a daycare today for a school project and I was just worrying so bad someone would think something. To make it worse I was saying I wouldn't be able to stay there for too long doing my project because I can't leave my son for long anyway. I hope she didn't take it as I was going to leave him alone which I am not I just meant he eats and I can't really miss a feeding.
I have before. Especially because DD just started going to daycare and has a lot more bumps and bruises now. She is 4 so she can speak to ppl. Not too long ago she fell off of something there and got a big rug burn near her eye. Well that same day Dh went on put her in the carseat and accidentally hit her face on the outside of the car.....(he told me all about this before I got home) well when I saw her I asked her what happened and her first response was "daddy hit me with the door" and I'm like CHILD NOOOOOO!! lol I ment what happened at daycare!!! ? then she told me she fell off a table on the floor and I was like omg she's gonna get us in trouble
I never did but then step son got abused when he was living with his bio mom and we all had to take parenting classes and a lot of other classes to see who was Fit parent. But I heard crazy stories about how easy it is to get ur kids taken away so I was like omg. Because some of those cases where BS
Ha, my 6 yr old son in a cast and then my 3 yr old an extracted front tooth (won't come in for a few years) and stitches in his chin.......the same time
