I wanna wear contacts again

I wanna wear contacts again

I'm getting so tired of wearing my contacts. About three months ago my best friend came over. After that I had what looked like pink eye for like a month before I actually went to the doctor. It never hurt or had discharge or anything so that's why I never went sooner. The only problem was it would be painful when I wore contacts. I had glasses so I didn't mind too much. Well the doctor gave me drops and everything was all good. Until I put my contacts back in. I even changed them yet my eyes got red again. It's like my eyes hate contacts. I am used to my glasses now so it doesn't bother me to wear them but it bothers me how I can't wear my contacts without my eyes turning red. So now I'm gonna have to set another appointment to find out what the heck is going on with my eye or if it's just the contact brand or what.

It happened to me years ago. I switch brands and solutions. I use air optix (monthly disposable) and I use the clear care cleaning solution.

My friens had the same problem, turns out she was allergic to the solution they were in. Once she changed brands she was fine.

I couldn't wear contacts while pregnant. Made my eyes feel so dry. Still feels awkward the rare times I wear them.

I never thought of pregnancy could be causing it. It didn't happen until I was 2 months pp and I had wore my contacts many times before then. I have worn the same brand for years now though so I guess it is time to change brands.

Pp tell him to go lol. The eye doctor is the only doctor I'm actually excited for lol

I believe pregnancy could cause a change. I know when I was pregnant I couldn't wear them at all. I'm not sure if it stays even after giving birth

Yep. I wore contacts for about 15 years. After I gave birth to DS1, it's like my eyes changed suddenly. I would put my contacts in and couldn't even open my eyes. They hurt so badly and every time I blinked, they moved. I even put in a new pair and the same thing kept happening. I wore my glasses for a few months and tried again and the same thing kept happening, so I give up. I miss wearing them.

My SO is currently going through this. His eyes are fine until he puts his contacts in. He says they hurt too, I can't get him to go to the eye doctor.

I had that problem in high school actually. I had to get a different type. I got the ones you have to switch out every week or so.

So you probably just need to try a different kind.

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?

Glasses wearers I need some input. I just got my new prescription Saturday and EVERYTHING IS CURVED. I feel like I'm wearing drunk goggles or living in a fish bowl. Anything straight is curved. Like it is super bad as soon as I put them on I get super nauseous and a headache. I can't even walk straight. I'm constantly falling over things because it makes me so dizzy. I wear contacts mostly and I was going to start wearing glasses more often but I can't if it's doing this. I don't know if it's just too strong or made wrong or what but it's really bothering me. I've had glasses before but I don't remember them ever curving like this. Is it just something I need to get used to or what?
