Yea I ended up going she gave me some antibiotics just to make sure it doesn't get worse.

It's not mastitis until a fever starts according to my midwife. But you might want to call anyways because once it comes on, it comes on fast and it is miserable.

I thought red streaks were normal though? ?

Gaw this is great. I called to see if I can just get a prescription without going in but she has to email the doctor which can take a couple days. So if I don't get a call back by tomorrow then I need to set an appointment which probably won't be until Friday.

So it's either wait and see or try to be a walk in at one of the doctors here I really don't like.

The red streak is concerning, you need to be seen as soon as possible. Mastitis is an infection, a clogged duct is exactly that, just a clog that needs to be worked out. The red streak is what's concerning me, could be a sign of the infection spreading to your blood stream

It can be but generally red and hard and lumpy is at least the start of mastitis. Don't avoid feeding from that side. Keep offering that breast to baby. Baby feeding on that side can unclog it before it gets infected. However I'd get it looked at now as if mastitis has started you wanna get rid of it asap.

But do they look they same? Like is the breast red for both?

A clogged ducts is just that. A clogged duct... However mastitis is when a clogged duct becomes infected. Because of the infection you can get quite sick.
