Sounds like your prescription is wrong, go back to the eye doctor.

I remember things being slightly curved until I got used it it. Is it a strong prescription?

I don't wear glasses but I highly doubt that's normal

I know when I change out of my contacts into glasses my vision gets a little wonky and I'm kind of off kilter. Maybe it'll take some getting used to- call your doctor!

I get that if my peescription is too high or they didn't cut the lenses correctly.

I'd go back just to check and make sure the glasses were cut right. It could be your eyes getting 'trained' but I wouldn't want to go back in 2 weeks with a complaint about them still doing this...

Go back and check. They might have gotten the wrong RX. How much did your RX change? A lot?

Yea it changed a lot. And they are a pretty strong prescription anyway. I'm going back up in two weeks anyway so I guess I'll try to get used to them and if not by then I'll have them check it to be sure.

It could be that they are not centered correctly (not sure what they actually call this), too strong (?), or maybe your prescription is just very different between your glasses and contacts.

I am right on the line of whether I need correction for astigmatism or not. Depending on whether the doctor chooses to correct that in the lenses, my prescriptions can be VERY different from one another.

Eta- It took a few days where I had a constant headache to get used to my latest glasses. Now, they are great. Your situation seems a little extreme though.

I'd call your optometrist and ask, I've worn glasses since elementary school but I never remember my glasses doing that. Even when I went from wearing only contacts for a year to glasses

That's what I'm thinking. It shouldn't be this bad. But looking through them and walking just makes me dizzy.

You might have an intolerance to the type of lens they used. I got a different kind last time (don't remember what it was called) and I felt drunk wearing them. I finally went back and had them changed and have had no issues since.

When I got my new glasses this time around, I felt the same way. I found out they put a curve or something on one of the lenses because I have astigmatism in one eye. It made me see double for a bit until I got used to it.

But if it's really bad, I'd call up the optometrist and ask for advice.

I never knew there was different types of lenses. I have an astigmatism too so i guess that could possibly be making this worse. Usually when I get glasses though they have me put them on and mark where my pupils are and they didn't this time. Do they do that to y'all too?

That's normal. Everything looks like its at a slant or curved. You need to slowly adjust it takes about 2 weeks. Just dont take them off or your eyes will take longer to adjust properly. It will make you dizzy and slightly nauseous. In a few weeks its not better then tell them you need a adjustment.

The glasses could be crooked too. Go back and have them readjust and have them check the correct rx was put in the glasses.

When I got my new glasses everything seemed really weird. It took me a while to get use to them.
