SS Card
So... I let the hospital order the SS Card so I didn't have to after having the baby. Well. It's yet to arrive. I called SS office and they were less than helpful. Now I'm trying to not stress. That's a bad document to get lost in the mail!
Who else has financial issues within their relationship?? Or am I just lucky 🙄🙄 Not sure if I'm being just mean or what. But my SO used $160 from me this morning. I gave him my bank card because he needed $60 to get material for work. His boss was going to give it back to him at the end of the day. So instead of $60 he took out $160. Which I was a little pissed. (One of the reasons I just can't let him use my card. I have to go get the money from the atm myself if I'm giving it to him) then, tonight he asked for $20 incase his boss didn't give it to him. So I gave him my card not even thinking because I had kids running around me. I asked if he could pick up a few things that were out of and told him he could use my card if he has too. And I even told him not to get the expensive brands or anything m generic is fine. So he does. But when he does he decides to go Easter shopping for the kids. (Not sure if he used to my card or not) but if he did, I'd be even more pissed. He knows I have bills to pay on top of giving my son's school money that I owe them. He goes to a private school and I haven't paid in 5 months. It's towards the end of school now so I need to pay it. He knows this month I am extremely tight because of the school, im already in debt and my credit score sucks. I have been trying not to get in more debt and actually fix my credit. I'm so frustrated. It's like we have different priorities and different ideas on this. I feel like I'm completely drowning!!
I dont think I could be more stressed...How do you get either one if you have neither and the dmv says you have to have a ss card for an ID and social security says you have to have a picture ID for your ss card!? Im about done with this shit... The government is fucked up in so many ways its unreal...
Short Luteal Phase? I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
weird things we do Lol ok so i have a tilted uterus i believe that has a factor on concieving. So lifting my legs or bum never seem to help.. i have tried laying in different positions. This month i have decided to lay half way off the bed basically an assisted hand stand. Have any of you tried this? I feel like it will work better lifting up my lazy @ss uterus!
Smart amazing mommies out here I have a smart question for you all so I wanna get a credit card and I only have chase accounts so I'll have no idea what banks out there are good any other banks you would recommend for me ? What is an apple card ? Is that a bank card ?

Ugh. I guess I really am going to have to go up there. I don't want to because it's in a really really bad part of town but it looks like I may have to. So so annoying.

I ordered both SSN and birth c, at the hospital . Received the SSN one week later, issue was that they misspelled her name ? but even when I ordered a new one I got it in less than a week.

I also did the same as you and of course it "never came" but apparently it did come! So I assumed it was never sent so I went to my local SS office to apply for one. The SS office let me know that he already had a number and I needed to get a new one card. They also said if there is no knowledge of a person with that name living in your household the mailman will not leave it in the mailbox do to it being a federal document. So they had me write out his name and "waiting for a federal document" on a piece of paper and tape it to the inside of the box.

I got mine 3 weeks after my daughter was born. Then again I live in New York & each state is different, but that is a cause for concern. Thats an extremely important document that you dont want in the wrong hands hun

@snuffy, you would think that they would be proactive. Like an of us have time to stand in line at SS office with a baby. Mine eats every hour. When I went after i got married, I literally waited 3 hours. I'm praying so hard it comes in.

The same thing happened to me! I requested it at the hospital so it would be mailed to me but I never received it. I went in to the ss office and a number had been issued, which they could give me (fortunately, since I needed it for insurance), but I needed all this documentation to get the actual card. Super annoying, since it should have just come in the mail without any documents on my end.

I got mine on time... But her name was spelled wrong!! Very frustrating

Thank you! I'm hoping it gets resolved too. If it doesn't come within the 2 week mark, I'll call the hospital too. According to obline, NC is the worst about getting stuff out

Hmm. That's odd. My hospital told me I should get it within 6 or 7 weeks in the mail. I got mine in less than 2.
Could it be a mistake on the hospital's end? Wrong address entered, etc?
Out of all the things to get lost, why that...best of luck in getting it resolved.

Yah go in person. We have snail mail. No jk! Wyoming Lol. Its two days to get to casper. That's only a 2hr drive!! Shipping out of state takes 2weeks!! I got mine a month after my daughter was born.

I would probably go in person and ask , I got my baby's about 2 weeks after birth and I live in miami dade county which is an unorganized mess to begin with lol

I got her birth certificate. I had to actually order that one myself. My paperwork said it could take up to 4 months, but she'll be 4 months in 2 weeks. All of my friends received theirs within a week. Definitely will be calling back, perhaps tomorrow, because this is ridiculous. And really. Who has time to drive 40 minutes away to SS office that's in a really bad part of town... not me. Lol

I just received my sons . the lady at the hospital told us if we didn't have it by 8 weeks to call but it doesn't seem like they helped you when you called I would be mad. That isa very important piece of mail! I would defiantly be calling back and speaking with someone else.

Oh no! That's really aggravating. We received my daughters ssn about a week and a half after she was born. I would think you should definitely have it by now. Did you receive a copy of her birth certificate yet?

Nope. It was the most unproductive phone call I've made. Basically she said if it didn't come in then I'd need to go to the SS office and get it. I told her my concern was it being lost in the mail. She seemed less than worried.
I wanted her to track it but she didn't even try. I may call the Raleigh office instead of rhe Charlotte office.
