ugh!!!
Ughh!!! I just found out that my father in law has the shingles. I was with my husband's whole family last night. Literally have had a meltdown . My husband hasn't had the chicken pox yet and I don't want to be at risk for getting shingles. Anyone else been in this situation? I'm a little stressed.
Short Luteal Phase? I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
This is NOT happening !!!!!!! I swear I had given up! But I'm 5 days late and I just got my BFP ???
Starting TWW. Anyone else? I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.

I've actually had chicken pox twice. The second about 5 and a half years ago. Not fun. I was just reading up online and I feel a lot better. Just been so emotional lately that just hearing that set me to tears. Lol. Thanks so much!

He found out today. So I don't know if the rash happened over night or if he just decided to get it checked out

My mil had shingles while I was pregnant with my first. She told me like 3 hours after we had already been there right before we eat.
If you have been vaccinated or previously had chicken pox you should be okay. The risk is low

My gma had it while i was pregnant with my first and as long as i didnt touch her the doctor said i was fine

Yeah as long as you don't touch him or he doesn't have blisters that were open and he touched them and then something else that you touched you should be fine. On Christmas we found out a family friend had it while she was there with us. I was a little annoyed that she thought it was OK to be around a pregnant woman, but I didn't touch much and made sure to wash my hands a lot.

It sounds like your husband is the one you need to be worried about!! He needs to be vaccinated pronto!

Maybe your husband has had the chicken pox and just didn't know it. I had the shingles a few years ago but my parents swear that I have never had the chicken pox. My doctor said that I may of just not of gotten them bad and might of thought they were bug bites.

You cant get shingles from shingles.
You can only get chicken pox from shingles. And thats only if you come in contact with the wound itself. So the risk is low.
If you think you are getting it then you can get some sort of immunoglobulin shot to reduce the severity.
Mention it to your doc if you have any concerns. And your hubby should get vaccinated if he hasn't had it xx

I did learn that he did get the shot so hopefully the shot was enough to keep him safe :)

I had the shingles when I was 5. They almost killed me. Then I got them again about 3 years ago. I can't be around anyone who has the chicken pox at all. Last time I had them it took me a whole month to get rid of them but they were caused by stress. So I'm trying to stay as stress free as possible or I could get them again. They are the worst thing to ever get.

Yikes!!!! Did he have any open sores? That is the most contagious. I'm a nurse this happened to me with a patient, however I did come in contact with the open sores. I didn't get sick

I have no idea if he had open sores when we were at dinner. he started getting achy 4 days ago, and then
showed my mother in law his side and she told him to get to the dr.
I had chicken pox when I was 5 and again when I was 20. I never want to go through that again lol.
I had contacted my dr when I learned of this, they got back with me this morning and said that they weren't worried.
