I have been feeling awful since week 6. Between the MS and fatigue I can't catch a break and I have tried everything to alleviate the symptoms but it works for a short period of time then I feel even worse after it wears off?.
Where is everyone in their pregnancy?
I wonder if the type of food you crave predicts the sex of baby. Maybe it's an old wives tale but I've heard that if you crave sweets or fruits you're carrying a girl or if you crave non sweets like vegetables and meats it's a boy. Anyone heard this tale before and found it to be true?
Awww... Congratulations on being 11wks+!? I know your heart just melted when you saw baby on the screen. Are you going to post a pic of baby? I would love to see.
I had my first ultrasound today and I'm 7wks. Baby's heart rate was 137!! I literally lost my bowl of cereal this morning before going and finally caved and ended up getting preggy chews. The nausea is starting to get to me a little but that comes with the territory!
I'm 11w5d, and haven't really had many craving except for Mexican food (hot queso, mostly ?) I've had more aversions than anything. We saw baby again at 11w1d, and the little heartbeat was amazing! The baby looks more like a baby than a little bean now, it's pretty great :) I've had cramps on/off, and nausea that lasted from about 6w-10.5w. Good luck and a happy, healthy 9mo to everyone!!
I can imagine. My dd is almost 3 and a busy bee. My dh helps out a lot with just about everything. Sometimes I feel like I don't do enough lately like I used to.
Sounds like you have a good dh!
Me too! Hopefully there won't be any issues the last trimester so I can get maternity photos this time.
I feel like some days I have more energy than others!
How do you guys manage to deal with having no energy at times?
Texasliz: It is hard waiting a month at a time between appointments. The worrying never stops even after getting pregnant. I'm worried I'm going to end up high risk this time around because I had complications with my first in the third trimester and had to be induced and had her a month premature. I'm trying to remain optimistic about this but it's hard.
My dh got me gift certificates for a massage center and I haven't used them yet but I'm seriously contemplating getting a massage next week.
2014baby: You're lucky! Especially with twins the pregnancy symptoms can be 10 times stronger! I've heard vitamin b12 helps with nausea but my morning sickness isn't everyday. When I was pregnant with dd my former obgyn had me take unisom for ms and I didn't like it because instead of alleviating symptoms it made me stay awake all night. So I took vitamin b12 instead and that helped a little.
Vallader: I know exactly the pain you're talking about! My dh tried to massage that pain out and it helped but then it came back with a vengeance! I also have low back pain that comes and goes.
I'm not sure about the spinach pies lol. I've been craving Rainer cherries but they're out of season ?. Had to substitute with wild cherry Capri suns. Lol.
I'm so excited that it's just around the corner!
I think there's a tea for morning sickness too (wellness momma or something) like that. I may try that and get some pops or drops too. For now I've been sticking with good ol faithful, oyster crackers, soup and Gatorade. I find eating something before bedtime helps with ms. I have to eat anyway because I always get hungry.
It's hard to move onto to a new dr especially when you've build a bond with he or she. Don't worry it'll be ok! Have you started looking or are they recommending a obgyn for you?
Do you notice any aches and pains anywhere? I have got this joint pain in the upper left quadrant of my back and it wasn't there before I was pregnant. It just came out of nowhere. I need a maternity massage!
So exciting that your ultrasound is coming up! It's the best feeling in the world to see your little bean and hear the heartbeat!☺️
I picked up some preggie pop drops, I don't think they're that expensive, and they work well for me! I've also heard that peppermints work well too...
My RE is still monitoring my hormones because I'm on a pretty hefty dose of estrogen & progesterone. I have another ultrasound on oct 7th, if all is well I'll be released to my ob (I'll be about 9 weeks). I feel nervous to leave my RE?
I feel exactly the same as you do. Ground beef taste funny when I eat it so I don't touch it anymore. The smell of olive oil cooking sends me right to the bathroom. Sometimes I'm so exhausted and without energy I just want to lay in bed all day. I haven't started with the ginger ale yet but after today I think I may have to get some Canada Dry! Have you heard of those pregnancy pops or chews? I was thinking of getting some when I was at babies r us but its 2.99 for 8 pops! I think I'll take some ginger ale please lol.
I'm 6 wks now and can't believe my first ultrasound is Monday! Have you been released to an obgyn yet?
I am almost 8 weeks! My boobs are sore on and off, and are definitely growing! I have pretty bad nausea all day, fortunately I haven't actually vomited yet... Meat of any kind makes my stomach turn... I am living off ginger ale, soup, lots of crackers, toast, and fruit. I still get occasional light cramping, but I'm guessing things are just growing and stretching in there. Some days I have energy, and some days I can't get off the couch...
Up until 6 weeks I had sore boobs, cramping, spotting, frequent urination.
Now the dreaded morning sickness has set in at 6 wks and its affected me all day long ?
I can't seem to function normally. Crackers and fluids help but anytime I feel nauseous or a smell good or bad hits me, it's off to hug the toilet I go.
Apart from cravings i feel good but very bloated like im huge lol but doing and feeling good how u all going
