When's your estimated ER?

Expecting: I think I'm going to wait for beta. Don't think I'd be able to handle seeing a bfn if this cycle doesn't work! I mean we put everything we've got into this and honestly I'd probably have a slight mental breakdown if it didn't work. I'm hoping everything goes smoothly for you tomorrow!

Vallad: I was on 10 days of Gonal F and took my last shots yesterday!! Usually your RE will have you on stims for 8-10 days max depending on how you respond. If you're on day 5 you'll have at least 5 more days left for stims then trigger and retrieval at 36 hrs later. Which will put you at either a Saturday or Sunday ER depending on if your RE is open on Sunday's.

My RE isn't so I fell on a Saturday as the last day for stims calling for a Monday ER.

How are you doing so far?

Baby4ever, I will do follistim (112iu) and menopur (75iu) for 3 days then on the fourth day bloodwork and u/s. I also have Lupron, ganirelex, endometrium, ziphormax and Estrace... I'm not sure what any of those are for.

I'm only familiar with menopur.

How long have you been on Stims? This was my fifth day and I'm really hoping for retrieval this week!

This is my first IVF but prior to that we did 5 months of IUI's, 2 of which were cancelled due to overstimulation and 3 didn't work. The 2 cancelled and 1 IUI was with my previous RE. This won't be our last try as we just got started with IVF...

Wow Amanda! You've been through a lot!

I'm glad you're getting a second opinion and finally getting somewhere! 3 1/2 yrs is too long to wait!

I spent the last year thinking I was in the 'unexplained infertility category' because the previous RE was too quick to give us that diagnosis after the previous urologist didn't do a thorough analysis of my dh.

We lost 3 months with the previous RE and moved onto a new RE and urologist and the new urologist discovered it was male factor infertility.

I'm a true believer in second opinions!! It saved us from not knowing something truly was going on and knowing there was but wasn't proven.

I hope you get your long awaited baby!

Hi baby4ever it is were doing egg sharing we can't wait to get started we've been with a different clinic for a about 3and a half years and still waiting so I rang a new clinic and we've only been with them a month had all the tests and everything done and now seeing doctor on 2nd of September and should get a start date finally getting some were strange how different clinics can be xx
