@shark my sister gave birth in her truck in front of the hospital. They didn't get there in time and her Dd was born out front. It was crazy.

A lady in my town had her baby in the car. Super crazy. I can't imagine.

This terrifies me!! I laboured all night at home with my last and ended up having my baby 1.5 hrs after arriving at hospital but what if next one comes even quicker...or I try and labour it out at home again and dont make it in time!

Tennessee. My sister's third labour was 40 mins from first contraction to birth. Her water broke at 4am at 7 there were no contractions so they were going to send her home. Her partner argued with them to keep her because she labours so fast. She started contracting during the argument and her son was born at 7:45. If she'd gone home it could have happened anywhere.

Hey this happened just a couple hours from me. Lol so crazy. My birth with my son was quick for being an induction and a first time mom. But dang 25 minutes. That's crazy!

Tennessee sometimes it does go really fast. I went from 3 to 10 cm in half hour and he was born 2 mins later.

With my second dd i had to be induced went in sunday night nothing monday nothing tuesday still nothing the dr was getting ready to send me home while the dr was getting ready to discharge me the nurse the dr left the room and so did dh and our son to go down to the cafeteria to get lunch 15 min i started to get a strong contraction my water broke and the next contraction babies head was coming out mean while im calling the nurse to come and next thing the baby is out on the bed dh is coming into the room and hes like whats going on he hears dd cry and freaks out while i yell at him to get the dr then all the dr rush in all im shock that i gave birth all by my self

Sometimes it's just super quick Tennessee.

With my fourth she was fairly quick and it was lucky I had gone to the hospital. Was having contractions that morning , a few nasty ones but mainly not to bad. none buckled me anyway. Rang the midwife and she told me to go in even though they weren't overly regular. I got to the hospital at 9:30am and went into the room to wait for my suite to be ready. The otherhalf went to park the car, that took 40 mins ffs. About 15 mins after getting there they checked me and I was only at a 4 so we figured I'd be there all day and the otherhalf was kinda pissed lol. About 20 past 10 or so I had a big contraction and it doubled me over. They came fast then. they moved me to the suite at roughly 10:40am and I went to the loo. They heard me say "oh oh" and brought the bed to the door. I dove headfirst and had her at 10:47am. Waters didn't break and all just happened insanely quick. Was good though, I went home by 3pm lol

@tennessee For me it was both if i had waited any longer i would have had my son in the car. I had contractions for 4 hours and when i finally decided to go to the hospital i was already 8 almost 9 cm. Within 15 minutes of arriving i started pushing. I was so lucky to live down the street from the hospital. A month before having my son i was living somewhere else were the nearest hospital was 1 hour away ?

This could of been me but I got up to the hospital in time to get up into L&d. I had a rather quick labour for a ftm so it pretty much went so quickly. If we had of waited another hour at home I would of had to deliver my son with my So's help on our bed.

Lol my parents sent me this article the other day and were like "Make sure you leave yourself enough time to get to the hospital ?"

When I spoke to my Doula about labour pics I brought that up and I was like "I hope that's not me but if it is make sure you document it!" it would be a great story to tell our ds when he's old enough! Although they would be pictures for us, I wouldn't be able to let everyone in the world me giving birth ?.

This past New Year’s Eve, I had to take my mom to the ER for back pain and while we there a car pulls up and nurses, doctors and police rush to the car. It was a pregnant momma in labor but poor thing didn’t even make it inside. She had her baby in the car! Sooooo close!

I had my second son 5 minutes after getting to the hospital. I had to go by ambulance or else i would have him in the car or parking lot no telling where. They almost made me deliver at home than bring me to the hospital. That’s how close i was to having him. Was only in active labor for an hour

I wish my babies were ready to just fall out as soon as I got to the hospital. ?

I work in a hospital and germs, bacteria and viruses are everywhere.. expecially on the floors.

Do what u gotta do.. not like she could help where it was going to happen...

But can I say I threw up in my mouth a little.
