@mja I prefer my husband to do the work with things in unfamiliar with. Especially when it comes to foods he ate growing up. Sometimes I rock at making something and he will tell me how jealous he is of my cooking ? I’ll tell him “I’m gonna do this and this project for the kids” and he knows it means he’s doing it ??

Lol am I the only one who makes my husband do all the work?! ?? jk! Maybe? Its soooo much work though!

My husband doesn’t mind making them. He’s just never locked her recipe in his head. So he finally asked her. He wants us to make them together so he can stop asking her to make them ? she’ll make food for me before she will him and I’m always asking for enchiladas and tostadas or pan.

You should all also teach your SOs. I taught my SO just so he cant say he doesnt know how to and he can help me out and make them. ? The more help the faster they will be ready!

My mom was getting the stuff ready for tamales today shes gonna make them tomorrow I'm thinking about going to help just so I can bring some home ?

I haven’t helped make them in maybe 6-7 years so it’ll all be new to me. Especially to completely make it on my own. Every time I try getting MIL to come over and cook it so I can learn it she makes it at her house ? and I’m like “woman! I bought you the meats and etc for here ughhhh” ??‍♀️

2 years ago the aunts and uncles taught me and my cousin how to make them because they are getting to old to do it. Now we are in charge. It’s a lot of work we make 10-12 dozen. But it’s worth it.
