Crockpot recipe of the day! S/O got me a crock pot recipe book so I thought I’d share with you guys every now and again…

The bottom got cut off a little bit. It says “top with remaining onions, bacon, and cheese.”

How was it? Sounds good, but seems like you could skip the crockpot part ?

I agree with @Brenn. It looks like it’s telling you to make it and then put it in the crockpot just to stay warm. I hope all of the recipes aren’t like that hahah

@Brenn.. right?! I didn’t notice that until I was already cooking it ? I said the same thing. You don’t really need a crockpot to cook it. They aren’t all like that though ?

I’ve made this before in the crockpot but instead of cooking it all first, my recipe just had me put chopped potatoes and milk, etc in the crockpot to cook for a few hours. Then I just had to blend it and I think add cream cheese. Maybe you could try that next time so you aren’t cooking everything first!

It’s funny because after I cooked this a recipe popped up on Tasty on Facebook that showed a way easier way to make it. ? sort of like how you described PP.

I have a crockpot recipe book too & get slightly enraged when the recipes make me cook stuff first. Come onnnn just give me recipes where I can throw it in the pot and walk away. This does sound yummy though.

Yeah, it’s like.. what’s the point of using a crockpot then? I can just keep it on the stove lol.
