Yoooo how tf do they even have her medical history? That's insane!

The fact that they are even considering not going through with the application because of your mother's history is despicable. I wouldn't want to rent/buy from them. I moved while 5 months pregnant and yes it is stressful but I would never want to put money in the pockets of someone like that..

My mom doesn't have the best credit so my mom explained to them she has medical bills and that's why it isn't the best. They said it wasn't an issue because my boyfriend and I both have really good credit. She only told them she had cancer about two years ago and nothing else. She is completely fine now and has been for a while.

Honestly, this makes me not want to rent from them at all! I'm just so desperate to find a place because it has been so hard and we are on a time schedule.

I don't think they can legally do that. I would request an update in writing so you have proof and go speak to an attorney. I'm not the hurry up and sue type...but this is BS

I'm so sorry ? my mom passed away of cancer when I was 15, give your mom a big big hug! I'd also like to add that this can't be legal? Cause it does sound to me like it is discrimination. Was this verbal or on paper?

I just assumed since it's their house they can choose who they want to rent it for any reason. They claim they are worried about her paying her share if she gets sick again or has to do chemo again. None of that is even in our heads right now. She's completely healthy.
