I'm sorry like I said if they still have his ashes try talking to it or go to one of his favorite places you remember & just start off with like uncle I remember you like this place & so on you might get some stares but who cares as long as it gives you piece of mind either way you don't know who the people are & chances you running into those people are rare but do something that will make you feel better if your sad about it

@Olivia he died 2 years ago sadly. This was the first time I had money to fly out after his death. I had the money at the time but wasn't told about funeral or cremation.

Wtf that's horrible but hey some families are just like that & could careless about others. See if you can stay until they get his cremations & see if you can take a little if you were really close to him if not ask them if you can have at least 5 min with the urn & have a little talk I'm sure you'll feel a little better.

I didn't find out about either of my uncle's passing until months later on each. You would have thought after the first one. But nope the next one I fin out died six months after. I know how you feel and it sucks.

My family are a bunch a batches! I have found out about every death over fb. Didn't know my uncle was even sick. Didn't get invited to the funeral ??? My dad doesn't even find out till days after.
