Everyone has been asking dd what she would like for Christmas, she only says a fish, which I then reiterate that mommy is getting her a fish. They start listing things off like dolls, etc. Lately, she's been pointing out trucks and cars when we go Christmas present looking, so I then tell them she likes cars, trucks and crafts. Then they start going on about how they're getting her girly stuff ?

Ask for gift receipts lol some people just don't get it. You know what she likes so get the refund in a gift card and have her help you pick out a proper gift.

My daughter was like that too. She just started liking some girl things at 5. I hate how people want girls to fit the little prissy pink stereotype.

@Victoria, right? Like my dad taught me everything I know from sewing to changing brakes on a truck and car. I learned cooking from both genders.
My dad let me dress in boy clothes when I wanted and never forced girly things.
I'm raising my babies the same way. Be yourself regardless of the gender put on things. You want a truck sweetheart? Go right ahead. My son wants to play dolls with his sister (when I have a son)? Fine by me honestly.

I know target gives you a certain amount you are able to return w.o a receipt per calendar year AND if the item was ever on sale, you get the sale price instead of the full value.

I hear you people my daughter loves dinosaurs, horses and baby dolls and everyone insists on only buying her baby dolls. She has like 40 now and i am not exaggerating. She loves dinosaurs she pretends to be one all the time but everyone says oh let her be a girl... how about we let her be her.

My mom is the same way. She drives me nuts at Christmas every year. She texts me every day asking what to get the kids, even after I send her a list they made out. This year I told her my middle dd wants an emoji speaker. She asked if my oldest wanted one too and I said No, she doesn't. Mom texts me later and says she bought them both a speaker. Ok. Whatever. Why text me a million times asking what to get and then not even listen? Every. Single. Year.
