Well, a ton of stores are having the back to college sales, so that's where I started.
Bedding sets are what I look for. I don't look into the "adult" bedding because you can almost always get your size and a cute or bland design for less in the "teen" sections.
I actually got my mattress online through Wal-Mart (weird I know lol) it's a spa sensation memory foam.
Unless you want to be super picky with pillows, you can get those pretty cheap cheap at a department store (like target or Wal-Mart)
Both protectors were on sale as well due to the college season.
Bed frame, I didn't need anything too fancy, but made sure it was sturdy with a good warranty and acts as a boxspring.
Always, always shop around first. Each store carries the same things sometimes but one could be cheaper.
I also look into all reviews before purchasing as a precaution.
