I was told to fast for 12 hours before taking my test. All I could have was water

Updates: barely passed the 1he and 2hr blood draws. Passed the 3hr with flying colors.

You basically have to fast again so it'll definitely help don't stress it. I stressed and stressed and stressed and ended up passing my three hour don't worry

@lisac105, will do! I'm just super nervous. I've had all kinds of problems with this pregnancy and I'd hate to have one more. I'm already on vitamin b, vitamin d because I can't have any dairy with out getting dangerously sick, and have very low iron.

My test is the 20th,hopefully I'll be able to get a full nights sleep this time.

I failed the one hour and passed the three hour with both of my girls. I'm sure you'll do fine! Keep us updated!

The night before test -

Do not eat anything after 10pm

Do not smoke any cigarettes after 10pm

Do not chew chew

You can drink sips of plain water only

The morning of the test -

Do not eat anything ( if you wish to clean your teeth, rinse your mouth with water but do not swallow any of the toothpaste or water

Do not smoke

Do not chew gum

You can drink sips of plain water only

@ahuds03 thank you! I fasted for the 1 hour test, I did drink some fruit water without any sugars in it about 2hrs before my test. It's my birthday the day before my 3hr so i have to wait to celebrate, not risking failing this over homemade chocolate cake ??

I just had the same problem I ate early the morning of my test 5 hours before and barely failed . I ate dinner at 7 pm the night before my 3 hour and nothing till after the test and passed all three perfectly ! Good luck !!

Correction for initial post: I meant No Food or Drinks except water

@feeberrie I have a 9am appointment so maybe thats why i was told 12, I do plan to start before then though so probably 9-10.

If you do need a drink it says to sip on plain water that's it :/ x

On my letter for my test, it says not to eat or drink after 10 not midnight Hun x
