Happyone, are there any favourite go to recipes you could share? I’m new to the whole crockpot and instant pot thing so suggestions would be great.

This is something I already do so my freezer is already full. I have both crock pot and instant pot meals. I refill the freezer when we start running low on meals but it's a HUGE time saver at dinner time.

yes i plan to! i thought i would start in february and just make double of some things and freeze it. like make 2 lasagnas and freeze one or make double batch’s is casseroles and soups etc. also chicken pot pies freeze great, thinks like that. i think i’ll also stock up on meats that i can just throw in the slow cooker and just serve with simple things like rice, potatoes and a salad or something.

I really want to. Does anyone know if food aversions last after birth? I don’t want to prep meals I won’t want to eat. I can’t eat meat right now but usually am fine with it. I know a lot of rock pot meals use meat.

If my mother in law wasn't coming to stay for a bit then my husband being on vacation i would be doing a ton of beans, tamales, enchiladas and lasagne

I plan to IF I feel like it lol. Probably simple thing like cut up The ingredients for fajitas and freeze them in a bag together or brown a lot of hamburger meat so it can be quickly added to soups or chili or anything else that's quick to put together. Maybe pre-cook some chicken breast that can be used for quick casseroles and that's about it

It sounds like a good idea .. I never froze any meals before I'm scared they won't be good when is time to eat them.. I'm thinking of just using my crockpot and making some easy meals that way

I will be this time! It would have been so helpful last time. I was planning on starting in February but I am not due till the end of March. I definitely don't want them to be freezer burned so I will probably wait till March sometime.

I plan to. I planned to with my daughter and ever did. I'm vegetarian though, and it seems harder to find food freezer meal/crock pot vegetarian recipes. I think starting in February I'll double a lot of dinners and freeze half. I'm in a mom's group too that I think does a meal train, so that will help.

All my kids were born early 32 weeks then 36. So I’m wondering if I should plan earlier or not.?

Maybe I’ll look into what kind of meals first and see how long their good for in the freezer.

Im definitely do this. I have a 19 month old and we just moved into our own place.

Hadn't thought about what time I was going to prepare and freeze the good though. I guess it depends on what you're cooking and freezing

Yep! I’ll likely be doing this around 36-38 weeks.
