Failed Stretch and sweep
I was due on 24th and I went for a sweep today but it was unsuccessful due to my cervix being too far back to reach! Did this happen to anyone else? If so did it still bring on some cramping and what does a far back cervix mean? I'm so over being pregnant and having SPD now and desperately want him out :(
so i got a membrane sweep today, & my midwife told me my cervix is “finger tip” meaning it’s too far up & not really down or soft enough & my due date is friday. any suggestions on how i can bring it lower?

My turn. Ugh. Induction due to health issues. So far, just had a pill inserted to soften my cervix. And they'll check on me in 2 hours to see how my cervix progressed.
💙💙💙👣👣👣💙💙💙 today is my due date!!!!!! I have had mild contractions but I'm still only 1cm so my doctor did a membrane sweep this morning to see if that helps any 🙏🙏 if not then I will be induced on July 1st 🙌🙌🎉🎉 any of you ladies have to be induced due to being past due and how was the experience.... also did a membrane sweep work for any of you??

I'm terrified of induction because I'm scared that it will lead to me having a c section and I hear too many negative outcomes ?

I'm hoping she did manage to reach! I'm ready to hold my little boy and really do not want to be induced on 5th Feb! She said she couldn't quite reach for the sweep but fingers crossed something will happen :)

Maybe it reached after all?? If the pains continue I will give her a call to see if maybe those were some sort of side effects from the attempt.

My midwife attempted to sweep me 4 hours ago and for the past 2 hours I have been having some sharp jabbing pains in my lower abdomen and increased baby movements but I am unsure whether this is coincidental or not seeing as sweep was unsuccessful

I haven't had a sweep but was told when I was about 10 weeks that my cervix was really far back. Never was told if that could be some sort of an issue. I already have a child and have birth at 40w 5d. My due date with this pregnancy was the 22nd and I haven't made any progress showing labor signs.
