Baby Bedtime Routine
I know some babys sleep better than others and for longer periods of time. But, tell me, if your baby sleeps more than 4 hours a time, what are you doing? Are u feeding baby an extra oz, letting baby sleep in the bouncer? Or what? Just wanted to see what other people are doing. My son slept through night really soon but my daughter is almost two month and i only get maybe 4 hours at a time
We don’t have a set routine yet but we don’t start to put him to sleep until we go to sleep, usually around 10-11. I nurse him until he seems sleepy and stays that way and the past few nights he’s been sleeping on my chest. He’s 6 weeks old and we’ve gotten a couple 6 hour stretches but last night it was only 3 before waking twice.
We swaddle, make the room dark and turn on white noise. It usually takes 1-1.5 hr for her to fall into a deep sleep ?. We start around 7-8pm. We hold her for awhile and then try to put her in the rock n play awake but drowsy. My husband gives her a bottle that’s 2oz formula and 2oz pumped milk around 10-11, and then she usually sleeps 5ish hours before getting hungry. Some nights she does 6. Once she wakes up to nurse, she sleeps on me the rest of the night (usually only like 2 hours left of the “night” at that point)
At 730pm I put her in a warm with (sometimes with soap, others with some breast milk for a milk bath soak or just warm water) then we do lotions and pjs and a halo sleep swaddle. She fusses when getting swaddled but settles right down. Then we nurse with low lights and white noise. She sleeps in her bassinet with the white noise on. So she's sleeping from 830-9pm until usually around 5am. She will be 7 weeks on Monday.
Last night was the first time Hunter slept 6 hours straight. I pushed bedtime back, I usually start at 8. Last night I started at 9:15. We changed his diaper, I fed him 2 oz of breastmilk from the bottle, changed, and then nursed both breasts. I put him down in his swing while awake and he passed out. I didn't even have to turn the swing on. Thank goodness because I don't want him to get used to that motion and need it to sleep.
I woke up in a panic at 2 am and checked on him. Lol. Sound asleep. He finally woke up at 3:40 and I was able to get him asleep within 20 minutes but he would freak when I put him in his pack and play. He ended up sleeping on my chest until 5:30 when I decided to get up. Ugh... 2 steps forward, 2 steps back.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
So Dr has sent me in to do labs because I mentioned to him how itchy I’ve been these last couple of days. Any other moms gone through this before? He mentioned if something came up in my blood we’d have to do my section sooner than what it is scheduled for.

Im literally in tears because of these idk what to do at this point suggestion I just started timing them.well trying but they been going about a hour already
Heartburn... going on 6 hours straight and nothing is helping other than sucking on peppermints and sitting up. I can't do this all night, I need to lay down to sleep. Luckily so far this is only my second time dealing with heartburn this whole pregnancy ❤🔥😢😖
Do any of you ladies use melatonin to help your toddlers sleep? My boys always have a hard time going to sleep and idk what to do anymore 😩
Thanks, foe the replies ladies! Sometimes its just nice to get some, insight on how and what others are doing.
