Help please! ?*Update*?

I've been dating a man for almost a month now. I'm seeing him on Saturday. I have no idea when or what we're doing. Do I get him something for Valentine's Day? Box of chocolate or something? I just don't know what to do (if anything). I kind of want to ignore that it's Valentine's Day... but have a feeling he's going to give me something... It's not like we know each other all that well yet.

Get the box valentines that kids give in class and give him one. It's silly enough that is cute and it's not fancy enough to be romantic. :)

I am also very happy for you that you are getting out there. :)

A scratch off ticket.

A funny card and cologne?

I guess I'm way too blunt. If I felt unsure or awkward about it I'd just bring it up bluntly in conversation before hand. I'd say it jokingly...

"Hey are we going to exchange awkward Valentine's gifts Saturday, or what? Cause I need to know if I should save this box of chocolate I bought for Saturday or if I can go ahead and satisfy my chocolate craving and open it now?"

Or something more clever. My creative juices aren't flowing right now. But I'd rather just ask. Then everyone's expectations are clear.

Awkward phone conversation= less awkward Valentine's date.

Maybe that's just me, though?

Bring a orange, keep it in your purse and if HE gives u something then hand him the Orange and say "Orange you glad we meet"! And if he doesn't get u anything then you don't have to give it to him and you can still eat it for a snack later! Then it'll be for the baby!!!

The problem is you're dating a MAN, when you're clearly a panda.

Someone needs to call PETA!

(But maybe a cd or tickets to a concert? I did a watch for my dh a month into us dating. Then tickets to a concert!)

Heard about this on the radio this morning 75% of people who are dating someone who have not been together but a short while do not expect anything on Valentine's Day. I mean he's a guy he won't care get a card put it in your purse if he gets you something the pull out the card if not then don't do or say anything! Save the awkward!

Can you bake well? Make something homemade like chocolate chip cookies

I feel like we need to hear more about this man ;)

You should bake him something! That's what I would do. It's a nice gesture that isn't necessarily a Valentine's Day exclusive type gift lol

I would make him some cookies or something. I wouldn't buy him a gift

Just you looking good should be gift enough!

I agree with something small like his favorite cookies or something. Or don't do anything at all, appreciate what he gives you and if you're still seeing each other on a next holiday/birthday do something.

I'm going to give df one of those hilarious and awful Valentine's, like "I love you almost as much as Kanye loves himself" lol.

You could always hold onto whatever you get him and only give it to him if he gives you something.

Eta I wouldn't do a card. Cards are sentimental for me and it definitely seems too serious.

May I also say....I'm super excited to see you're dating someone! I was here lurking and just starting to comment on things when you were beginning the divorce proceedings. Good for you!!

Aww thanks dancer mom ?. It's new and I'm not really ready to dive into anything yet, more like dipping my feet in the water, lol.

Exactly Kirby, I don't want to give the impression of being serious at all... I would rather give him nothing! But I feel like that would be rude.

I guess I just feel weird celebrating Valentine's Day with someone I'm not in love with.

All this dating stuff is foreign to me. I went 12 years without dating. I just feel like I don't know what I'm doing. But I agree, I'm thinking maybe some chocolate would be good.

Stalker moment. I've followed your story from the beginning and I'm happy you're seeing someone :). I wouldn't give a card just something simple like chocolates or something small that he likes.

I vote the chocolate or the 6 pack. I lean towards the 6 pack lol. I think anything too much looks like you're pushing it to serious too fast.

Something simple since you haven't been dating long. I agree with the card & chocolates.

A card and his favorite candy? Or a 6 pack of his favorite beer, bottle of wine? I don't think you have to go all out.

Anal. That's what I'm giving DH. ?

But yeah like mims said I'd just do a card and chocolates or something similar.

A card with a sweet message from you and small box of candy is nice. I'm sure he plans on giving you something

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?
