Sleep regressions are the worst.
Sleep regressions are the worst.
We've been toying around with nap time and bed time to try to fix things. I think all of our problems fall on the amount of sleep he gets at night. Most things I have read said 2 year olds (he'll be 2 next month) need 10-12 at night. He's lucky if he can sleep for 8 total at night. We're all exhausted. Also I'm going to give birth any day now to my daughter so I'm seriously about to get zero sleep soon. ?? Lets just hope it's a short lived regression.

How many naps during the day and for how long?
Ds is 2.5 we got rid of naps a few months ago and within a few weeks he started sleeping through the night from 9-9. We also keep it dark in the room so the sun won't wake him up that way he won't be so tired and need a nap.

One nap, around 1pm, last anywhere from an hour to an hour to an hour and 45. The longer the nap the better he does at bed time and the night after. I think he has trouble staying asleep and if he wakes up he has trouble going back to sleep. I think if it last too much longer I may see if his doctor can refer him to a sleep specialist. I just feel so bad for the little guy, he needs his sleep ☹️
