Odd ball customer.
I know some of you are anti social media, cool, here's a cookie, but I do have them. An odd ball customer just tried to add me on one. He's really nice, like overly nice. I pretty much know this dudes whole life story, and not by choice. At first he wasn't that bad, but now he just gives me creepy vibes. We have 0 mutual friends and I never, and I mean NEVER tell anyone my last name at work. Which begs the question, how did he find me on a site. My name isn't common but it's not rare by any means either. The only thing I can think of is someone at my job told him my last name. Of course I'm not going to add the dude but damn, it still pisses me off that someone may have told him my last name. I'm probably over reacting a bit but still.

Where you work, do they have a website? If so, your name might be on there along with every other worker. That might be how he got it.

You can find people using their first name and the town they live in. Plus, if you have your work on your profile, it's pretty easy.

No, I don't have my work on my profile, or does my work have my info online. Since we have 0 mutual friends I know he didn't just "find" my name through a coworker either.

In college, after the first day of classes, I got a friend request from some kid. I have NO idea how he knew my name. For attendance the teacher passed around a paper and I signed in after him. People are weird.

Have you Googled your name to see what your name is affiliated with? I know he doesn't know your last name, but u might find answers this way. Also try your first name and city as well.

This happened to me. I only have ig and don't use it and he looked me up. Craziest part was I didn't have my real name on my name tag at work ? normally the bring it up. I just said that I keep my work and private life separate.

You're not overreacting there are some crazy ass people out there and I wouldn't feel flattered he went through the trouble to do all that . Most guys on fb just want to able to look through your pics and they can do whatever they want with them .I would really be pissed if a coworker did that and didn't even give you a heads up. Definitely sounds like a stalker situation
