Overly friendly neighbor?
Overly friendly neighbor?
Anyone had one? Or just a horrible neighbor? I know he's nice and probably means well, but every time I pull into my driveway it isn't an excuse to talk to me. ? I mean, the guy doesn't work so he is home just about every time I come home. I even tried going though the back door and he came hauling butt through his back yard to talk. He's sons and wife are home most of the time so Idk, he shouldn't be that lonely. I know people have it worse, I guess he could throw his dogs shat in my yard or something. ?

Our neighborhood was once a pecan orchard and so we still have a ton of trees around. In our area, there are a lot of places that buy pecans and you can make some decent money off of them. Well, we have a neighbor that sneaks into the other neighbors yards when they're at work and steals their pecans. I caught him in my yard picking up my pecans one morning and yelled "HEY, don't steal my nuts!!"
He jumped about a mile and then just kind of smiled and nodded at me and walked off. (He's Asian and doesn't speak a lot of English).
Around Thanksgiving, I noticed that I hadn't seen any of them around lately. About a week later, a company came and packed up all of their stuff and took it away and we haven't seen them since. The house has been empty now since mid November with no For Sale sign or anything. It's like they just disappeared.

Maybe he enjoys talking to people other than them? Lol
Be glad you don't have any of my neighbors. We just recently had one come into our yard and steal our dog food.

Mine is talkative also but he is so nice I don't mind. He has mowed our lawn a few times, brought us over a flash light when the power was out, helped move my old motorcycle, fixed our lawnmower.... pretty much could probably ask him for anything. I'm a bartender so I'm use to drunk chatty people and getting away from them. So having a nice sober neighbor who sometimes talks more than I'd want is pretty easy to get away from but I usually just talk to him for awhile since he is a nice guy.
