Now I might start crying. Our whole family is complete now! After looking so long it's so great that it's a happy ending/ beginning
Just got off the phone. He told Chris (my husband) to start calling him every night.
They swapped addresses to send pictures. We found out he lives in Texas so we might be planning a road trip soon.
After all this time of being nervous I'm so glad that the search ended with a happy story and opened up a whole new chapter in our lives!!
He is excited to have a daughter in law and was so happy to hear that he has grandchildren.
They are still on the phone! I'm so glad that this turned out positive! A week ago we had a burst of hope and then it was crushed a few days later. So for this to be actually happening is so wonderful!!

What's the past is the past, but I hope and wish for the very best for all of you moving forward! I'm very happy for him as I sat here reading this and becoming emotional from the different responses. I've never been in this situation, but I could feel his excitement, fear, hopes and anticipation in your posts. It's wonderful to know that his father and uncle were looking for him too. I love these kinds of stories :D
It's going good!!! He talked to the kids and talked to me and asked me how he was treating me. And how he was proud of him and he had been looking for us too!!! But thought we lived in Nebraska.
It was his brother who sent us his number, they had been working together to find us.
He wants pictures and gave us his address. They are still on the phone and Chris is so happy!!!

He got his nerve up and called about 30min ago but there was no answer so he hung up and didn't leave a voice mail.

I know the feeling too! My bio father was a drug addict and him and my mom split while I was an infant. I had never met him, I started looking for him when I turned 16 and I had called sooo many numbers (very common last name). Then one day I decided to look up his brother, I got 3 numbers in the state I knew they lived in last. The phone rang, a man answered, I'll never forget the conversation
"Hello?"
"Hello, is Scott available?"
"No who's this?"
"Um can you just answer a question for me?"
"What?"
"Can you tell me if he has brothers who are twins?"
"Who is this?"
"My name is ashley"
"Billys kid?"
Uh yeah I almost hung up the phone. All those years and all those numbers I called I never expected to find the right family. It totally caught me of guard. Good luck to your dh!
I know exactly what he's feeling...well not exactly but pretty close. My mom abandoned me when I was a baby. My ex found four numbers to women with her name that live in my state. I had to call and tell strangers my story to see if my mom was there. I can only imagine knowing that that is the real number and on the other end will be your parent. Sorry I don't have anything helpful to say but good luck to him and I hope its a good experience.

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
