It's certainly better in the UK than the states but the cartoon of us with the money bags is a tad misleading to say the least lol. But like I say it's still more than some get with time off etc
The US seems to think we're very special, and despite the fact that nationalized health care works for Canada, the UK, Australia, Sweden, and with on the whole better medical care available to the majority in those countries than is available to the majority in the US....there's noooo way it could work here. (Note sarcasm)
Well as an American now living in the UK... With the sense of entitlement that Americans have towards healthcare I can see nationalized heathcare not working in america. No private rooms, no unnecessary tests, etc. People on this app on Medicaid and tricare complain about their free care all the dang time. And those are by far more individualized and offer much more in services than the NHS

Well if we were cut our military budget by 70% we'd still have the largest military budget in the world so.....but really on all reality id prefer to see my taxes go to health care and education but I don't see social healthcare in the us in my lifetime.
Since I'm a tribal card carrying member I've had government healthcare since birth from Indian health services . If I have to go I get their early , spend all day there , then may or may not get told my test I need isn't in the budget lol . So the Obama care doesn't seem too bad .
We should cut our politicians outrageous pay before we cut our military funding, at least the troops actual pay.
And PP it's not just the Obamas going on vacations, it's all of them. It's such crap that these "leaders" get armed guards round the clock plus insane salaries and troops going in groups of 3 to take down a substantial amount of terrorists (yes I know there are civilian casualties as well) will never even dream of living that lavishly.
