I bought the brand Terra oil called Shield (TerraShield). Mix with water and spray on baby. It is safe for babies and adults. And will last ages as you only need a few drops of oil for each bottle.

I think the brand is called fairy tales but they make bug spray that is safe for babies!

We used skin so soft too. When I was a kid I used to think it WAS mosquito repellant. Haha. The smell totally takes me back to summers at the lake.

Since I was little my grandma and mom have had the Avon oil and it works wonders. It's also really calming if they do get bitten. My son gets a bath with half a cap full most nights.

I've heard vanilla extract works. Dont know for sure as I haven't tried it yet

I use juniper breeze lotion or body spray! Juniper is a natural insect repellent!

For future reference, avon skin so soft oil is the BEST stuff to put on you and baby for bugs!

I use essential oils , lavender works. Orange does too but makes the skin sensitive to sun

My car seat came with a mesh car seat cover. Helps with the bugs so maybe try looking for something like that. I bought some bug spray from the Honest company for my 6 mo old and love it.

California baby makes a lemon grass and citronella spray. I got it at target. Safe for newborns!

I think most bugs sprays are for 6months and up

Mosquitos don't like the smell of lemongrass so maybe you can get some from a whole good store and crush it and rub it on you so it won't bother her skin

You can get stuff that keeps the away. Candles n stuff.. we dont have too many flying bugs around here, but iv seen them in camping areas. Not sure if that would work..they have sprays too, ,but I know you just had your baby. Not sure of they have new born safe stuff.
