I need your opinions.

It's only $4! I wouldn't waste my time. Also it sounds like he ate as much as an adult does, I would feel bad getting that food for free.

Say something!

I would say something.

I would say something. Asian people are tight and would lol

Just pay your 20$.60cents

I would tell them to correct it. Maybe they thought he was older. I would base the tip on the price it was supposed to be

Нравится Ответить

If that is their policy then I would tell them he is under 2. It was probably an innocent mistake on their part :)

A plate and a half is a lot for a toddler, they probably assume that under 2 will only eat off your plate.since he ate so much I would let it go, he did eat a lot of food and personally I wouldn't feel right taking that much for free

It's a small family owned business (everyone who works there is in the same family) so the tip still goes to the family either way.

I told my husband not to worry about it. But next time if they charge him I'll have my husband say something.

I agree with the other posters. I would say something. And maybe leave it as a tip. But I would say something either right away or not at all.

Нравится Ответить

I probably would have said something and then left extra on the tip because of the mess. Otherwise that $4.30 goes to the restaurant, instead of whoever had to clean up the mess. But you should do whatever you feel is right.

imo if your child is under 2 and you want to take the deal they are offering you should say when you order(in general, not you specifically op) it saves them money to not ask because like you did, when some people get charged on accident they choose not to say something.

Нравится Ответить

I would have them fix it. Then give them that money to the tip. We always tip for our mess maker.

In my opinion they shouldn't just assume his age. They should of respectfully asked rather than making you have to go through this trouble.

I would have said my son is under 2, does your policy still apply that kids under 2 eat free?

It isn't your fault they assumed so you shouldn't feel bad for letting them know.

They always ask how old our dd is

Нравится Ответить

Shouldn't have to pay

He does look older. He weighs 30lbs lol.

That's what we were debating on. Whether or not to mention that he wasn't 2. (I don't think they knew he was under two)

But I didn't see the point in mentioning it since he eats off his own plate and got seconds.

Plus 7.50 for a buffet is already cheap on my opinion lol

Нравится Ответить

If its supposed to be free, its supposed to be free.

Нравится Ответить

It cost me my and my husband more when we go out just the two of us. Id leave it be.

Нравится Ответить

Pp 7.50 X 2 =15

15+ 4.30 =19.30

19.30+1.30 =20.60

I'd leave it be.

Нравится Ответить

I would say something because it says kids under 2 eat for free. You never know they could have made a mistake.

Нравится Ответить

I'd be more upset for the fact that they over charged you! That only comes to 13.10!

Нравится Ответить

Maybe they ment kids under two eat free off of your plate. Lol jk

I'd ask If there was a certain day or time that offer is honored. Kill them with sarcasm. Lol

Нравится Ответить

I would tell them, it may only be 4 bucks buttttt why pay when he is suppose to be free, I agree with your husband

Нравится Ответить

Does he look a little older for his age? Did you actually tell them that he's under two?

Нравится Ответить

I would tell them something because

Нравится Ответить

I would let them know he's under 2. 1 year olds eat table food so him eating some is to be expected with that policy.

Нравится Ответить

No, you shouldn't have to pay. If their policy says children under the age of 2 eat for free then what's the point of charging you? Your husband is right!

Нравится Ответить

I wouldn't make a stink about $4.30.
