It's a small family owned business (everyone who works there is in the same family) so the tip still goes to the family either way.
I told my husband not to worry about it. But next time if they charge him I'll have my husband say something.
In my opinion they shouldn't just assume his age. They should of respectfully asked rather than making you have to go through this trouble.
I would have said my son is under 2, does your policy still apply that kids under 2 eat free?
It isn't your fault they assumed so you shouldn't feel bad for letting them know.
He does look older. He weighs 30lbs lol.
That's what we were debating on. Whether or not to mention that he wasn't 2. (I don't think they knew he was under two)
But I didn't see the point in mentioning it since he eats off his own plate and got seconds.
Plus 7.50 for a buffet is already cheap on my opinion lol
It's only $4! I wouldn't waste my time. Also it sounds like he ate as much as an adult does, I would feel bad getting that food for free.
