Today might be the last day that he is an only child!
Oh my. I'm almost in the same boat. I have a 19 month old and I'm due in 24 days.
I'm nervous because my ds has never seen me with another baby yet. But he seems to like babies in pictures and he likes helping me already so I don't think it'll be that hard on him. And he loves going with either grandma so I have lots of help. :)
I hope your contractions bring on labour! And good luck juggling the two of them.
Thank you all! We had the membrane sweep. When she checked me I was 3-4 dilated and 75% effaced.
Then she did the sweep. Iv been having contractions since then. And that was over 2 hours ago, She expects me to go either tonight or tomorrow.
She said she felt lots of hair! ?
As for my husbands hair, it lightened up to a nice Caramel. We decided to wait till after baby is born before we get it white (for picture purpose incase it looks bad lol)
How exciting! All the best to you and your family.
If he doesn't want to be involved with his new sibling, try not to push it.
If he does, give him small chores to help you. Fetching a diaper or "reading" a story to him/her will help him feel like he has a place in the Big Picture.
All kids are a bit different, but just feel your way through it and know that they will love each other eventually...and for a very long time.

He is 17 months (almost 18mo)
He is such a mommas boy. He likes to rub my tummy and say "baby" lol but whenever I hold another baby his feelings get hurt so fast :(
On our way now! I'll keep you all updated, my hospital is 2.5 hours away so it'll be a while lol
@Donna oh yes he was lucky and got his fathers eyes! I'm hoping our daughter does too lol
I was a little worried about my step daughter and her adjusting (we're not due till August) but she's getting excited about her new brother because we keep telling her "it's our baby" so she loves telling everyone "our baby is in My Aimee's tummy" lol.
And don't worry I bet your little man ends up being a super protective big brother ?
@aimee Haha Yeah, I hope he adjusts well, as of now I can't even look at another baby with him crying.
We have been working with him, and teaching him that he is going to have a sister. He knows that she is in my tummy, but I don't know how he will act once she's here. Very nervous
