Honest opinions needed!!

I'm going to go ahead and be honest like you asked. First off, I think you look fine either way so there. But, if you are worried about being judged, the reality is that you will be. Is it right? No. Is it fair? No. But it happens. I used to run a large playgroup and we had a handful of "alternative" moms (ones with unnatural haircolors, piercings, a lot of tattoos) and while I personally couldn't care less more than half the group of moms had an issue with them for no other reason than their appearance. One woman told me she didn't want get children playing with a heavily tattooed mom's child and several women referred to a mom with a lot of piercings and unnatural hair as "scary." While I think it's terrible to judge and I disagree with it (and I actually kicked people out of the playgroup for being disrespectful and discriminatory) the fact is, it happens. I'm smart enough and open-minded enough to know that you can't look at a women and tell what type of mom she is. For the record, the scary mom was a much better parent and had a much more advanced and well-behaved child than some of the perfectly manicured perfectly dressed prim and proper moms. Sorry for the novel.

I think you're having an identity crisis because you're real identity is a mom with lip piercings and you're a mom without lip piercings lmao. Just get them done ! I'm also 20 due with my second this July :) . I don't have any tattoos or piercings(besides ears) because I'm broke and also can never trust myself to make a decision ill actually enjoy later but you had them and liked them so get them !

If you want them back get them redone although I personally think you're prettier without them. You suit your lighter hair colour a lot more than the dark black.

I think facial piercings are awesome, but I do feel once your a mom it's best to let these things go. In saying that, I only have my nose pierced and I got it after my dd was born as I went through a quarter life crisis and thought I was old and I freaked out lol.

You look gorgeous and motherly in your now pic! You looked gorgeous in the other pic too just not sure what kiddies would think! Haha. Also they might pull them =\ my 2.5 year has taken to pulling my nose ring.

Do what you want to. You should look how you like and not care what other people think.

I dye my hair red and refuse to change it. After baby is born I plan on getting snake bites and dyeing my hair purple with pink tips. I also intend to add to my tattoos and get a half sleeve and more.

I also still dress in whatever the heck I feel like. I don't let any body make me feel like I'm a bad mum because I don't dress like some stepford wife. I will never look mumsy and practical. It's not a look I like on myself. Be you and don't worry about other peoples opinions.

My son thinks my hair/tattoos/clothes etc are cool. His opinion matters to me way more than any judgemental strangers.

I used to have all kinds if piercings, now I find them annoying to be honest lol lip ones especially.

But my opinion doesn't mean s*** it's your face lol

I think lip piercings are ugly. I don't think anyone can pull them off...

My nose ring closed up for a but when I took it out for a job and being pregnant like you. I realized after he was born that I just really wanted it back so I got it redone. Do what makes you happy! People will judge no matter what that is their problem not yours.

Ya know right before I gave birth to my son 3 years ago I went through the same kinda thing...where I wanted to have more of the "mom look" because i've always had piercings and dyed hair. so I dyed my hair and took my gauges down to a much smaller size because they were an inch.... but after I had him I realized ive always been the way I am and i love the extra accessories I choose to have (: So , I put everything back in. (except I left my gauges small) on my face I had/have septum ,nose and lip & i've had them all since I was 15 and I know i'm the best mommy I can be.

Piercing , hair dye & tattoos DOESN'T make someone a bad parent no matter what others may think or say. If it's what YOU want get it girl! (: You can always take it out again if you want to or need to.

You should do what you want. no matter what you do there will always be people judging so in all reality f*** it! Lol in this world we're never good enough to everyones standars

It is a Dr suess quote lol one if my favs!! I say do what makes you happy I'm waiting on #2 to pop out then its blue hair and nose piercing...but I'm also besties with a hair dresser so hair is a freebie(bday present)

I'm 27 with a lip ring but wait till ur not prego to redo it

I'm far from the teen years (k not that far but it feels like it lol 25), and I have snake bites, nose pierced on both sides, ears stretched to a 00, and two tongue piercings that are visible. If anyone says I'm a bad mom because of them (other than my brother really because he just likes giving me a hard time as he always has), they have no idea who I am as a person and I wouldn't give them the opportunity to find out either. Be who you are and don't worry about what others have to say because if you aren't true to yourself, you will not be as happy as you truly could be... Even with the littler things in life.

After my daughter is born I'm getting my tongue pierced again. I'm still on the fence about re-gauging my ears, which I only want to do because the holes look ugly right now. May even start dying my hair red again. If you want them, do it!

Who cares what other people think. If you like it then get it done. Your actions toward your children will show that you are a good mom. And for the record I like your hair better in the right picture.

and I try not to care what people think, but I just never wanted to be the "stereotypical teen mom" and I know that I'm a great mom, so I shouldn't worry so much.

Do what makes you happy. Who cares what other people think. As long as you believe youre a good person and a good mom, then there is nothing wrong with body modifications. :)

Get them re pierced. It's sounds like you really like them and miss them.

If someone thinks piercings make a person trashy, they need a dictionary and a reality check.

And also, don't spend life worrying about what others think about the things that make you happy!! I used to live that way and it SUCKS
