Milk is only supposed to be given to babies because it promotes growth. In adults there is 30% or more higher risk of cancer in cow milk drinkers and it promotes cancer growth. Because there is so much protein in it it actually leeches calcium out of you and into your pee . Just some facts for the day (done a lot of research ) though I still drink it cause it's delicious
The only reason I don't drink cows milk right now is because it tastes and smells really gross. I don't know what it is about this baby, but I can't stand it so if I want cereal then I have to use almond milk. I'm hoping that after baby is born I can go back, but I have a feeling it won't happen, like she will be lactose intolerant and I will be screwed until she weans.
@texas yeah I had heard of silk milk (eeeeek) but not almond milk, then I saw a bunch of posts and it seemed like everyone was anti milk lol.
I'm so happy reading these posts, I was actually starting to feel weird because I thought I was the only one still drinking cows milk!
For some reason I can't stand the taste of milk out of a jug, however get me a carton of milk and I'll chug it!
I looooooove milk
I just bought my first container of Almond milk for my youngest since he can't stand the taste of cow's milk. I don't blame him. I'm finding as I getting older that I don't care for the taste as much either.
And we do continue to drink breast milk from another mammal into adulthood although there are other forms of calcium-rich foods.
@Nintendo I learn something everyday!
Love me some mooooo juice. My family are dairy farmers milks the bomb I drink it in my coffee straight from the milking parlour in the am when I stay at my parents. Only in coffee cuz it's hot enough to kill bacteria. Made me chuckle the image of someone milking a rhino
