Pets
Anyone else's pets acting differently? My dog was the reason I decided to test to see if I was pregnant in the first place. I'm 38 and 3 today and the past two days both dogs have been glued to my side. I mean... literally whine if they aren't touching me. Starting to wonder if they know something I don't haha
Lol ExcitedMama-that reminds me. Once when the same dog was a pup my dh was playing and jokingly tapped me, in complete fun. My pup jumped up and growled at dh and just looked at me with a look of murder in his eyes like, "Just say the word Mama and I will take care of him for you!" It was really funny because normally he recognized dh as his alpha, but if dh even joked against at all, my dog was on instant defense mode. ??
Yes! My dog is very protective of me. Even when my husband wants to give me a hug, my dog growls and barks at him. He pretty much does that with everyone now. It wasn't that bad in the beginning, but now he barks at anything he thinks looks suspicious (even things he sees on tv) then comes back and cuddles up next to my bump. Lol. Before I got pregnant, he never barked at anything except the doorbell and loved everybody.
My cats when I first got prego would rub on my tummy and sleep on it and bumps their heads against it. Today I woke up and both of them were curled up around my bump. I also had a dream about going into labor so who knows lol. 100% believe they could know something I don't.
My dogs in the past have always known anything. They're animals and have instincts in tune that we can't understand. It's pretty neat. I miss my dogs. They were always so protective of me and Baby, and then when the Baby/IRS grew up the dogs just took a protective role of them.
Once we were at a family gathering at my in-laws, and other ppl there were drinking. My dog was on a leash beside me and we were sitting out of the way, wanting to leave lol. A very tipsy man came stumbling over to touch my Belly, and tripped at the last minute and would have landed full on my Belly, but my puppy jumped, got the man's arm in a gentle bite, so he didn't land on me and moved him around, then let go. It was neat, how well he knew to protect my Belly, even tho he was a pup still. And the man was shocked, knowing he could have been hurt, but my pup was gentle with him.
That's great! So glad to hear. Your family must have been ecstatic ?
