Update: Great news! My grandpa had surgery last Wednesday and they we able to get all of the cancer! They removed his upper lobe from his right lung and all of his lymph nodes. There was no cancer in his lymph nodes, and they ended up classifying it as stage 1A which is the lowest it could possibly be. He's still in a lot of pain from surgery, but well on his way to recovery. Thank you ladies so much for the prayers and positive thoughts!

@raven this is in my due date group. I'm so sorry about your husband. I can't even imagine. It's hard enough with my grandpa.

Sorry to hear this .. im in the same boat but its my husband.. i just typed cancer support and seen your post. Is this in a support group or you just posted this in a regular baby group?

My dad just called us over to my grandparents house for a family meeting. Turns out my grandpa has lung cancer. We don't know how bad yet, i.e. what stage, if it's metastacized, etc. He's going in for more tests this week and then we'll have a plan of action. My heart just hurts really bad. Our baby will be his first great grandchild, and I can only hope he gets to meet him. I'm more thankful than ever that my husband and I decided to name the baby after both of our grandfathers, though.

Sorry for posting this here, but we're keeping the news in the family until we have more answers. We could really use extra prayers right now, though.
