Well, I will bite. I was invited at the last minute to a family party tonight to celebrate a birthday. It is a side of the family the we don't really get on well with. I walked a mile (with my healing bum foot) with my five sons to get this person a gift since husband had our car and was at work.

I get home and was getting us all ready for this shin dig. Getting six people ready is not a light task. I text the host to confirm the time as I wanted to be punctual, and I was informed they forgot to let me know the party was canceled. ? uh thanks for waiting until the event was less than two hours away to give me the memo... after all the trouble. ?

Anyhoo, I live a street over so my three older sons and I decided to be nice and drop off the card, flowers and gift. I figured even if they weren't going to be home as they claimed, I could drop it off on their porch. I get there and I notice that other cars are there. I knock and there's definitely people other than the residents in there. So the host opens the door and inside are decorations and a cake and an obvious party. ?

Here is dumb ol' oblivious me armed with gifts for a person who obviously lied to me because they didn't want my family to attend. My sons had been lied to also so the four of us stood there dumbfounded. I handed them the gifts and wished them a happy birthday. I wanted to crawl in a hole. ? I felt so stupid!
