Is it weird that I'm considering breast milk bags? They freeze flat and I can fill it with water. Her lunchbox can only take a flat ice pack with the Bento box inside.

I'm asking because my husband was suggesting that the food would not go bad in 4 hours. I wouldn't want to take that risk with his health.

I add something frozen. Usually a fruit cup, grapes, gogert. I'm cheap so if I'm not sending frozen foods, it's a disposable plastic water bottle I just refill at night.

I freeze their juice boxes and then put them in the kids lunches and they thaw by lunchtime

They make special ice packs for lunches.

Trying to be an overachiever which homemade well packed lunches? Pssh that's what chips and oreos are for, throw some gummy fruit snacks in if you want to go a little healthier. ?
