I know. I think it just scared me bc it was a high risk doctor telling me?

My daughter always measured 5 weeks behind lol she was 5lbs at birth but totally healthy. Keep in mind those USs arent exact, just estimates

The cyst is gone but he’s still measuring a week behind

We just had our 20 week anatomy scan and had the same findings. Bilateral choroid plexus cysts.. My ob didn't seem overly concerned especially bc all other findings on us looked normal. I'm still kinda freaking out but trying not to. My insurance won't cover the blood work at all and out of pocket will be thousands with no definitive answer so I guess we wait until later ultrasounds to see if they resolved. Praying for healthy babies!!! Prayers to you too!

I was in your same boat at my baby’s 20 week ultrasound. Bilateral choroid plexus cysts, no other markers. Initial early blood work indicated everything was likely OK, but I had to go back for a follow up scan. They also did the Harmony testing because I insisted on it. I asked my midwife if I should get an amniocentesis...she said Heavens no. The likelihood of miscarriage due to amniocentesis was greater than the likelihood of my baby having any trisomies. It wouldn’t have changed our decision to keep the baby, but I am the type who likes to prep. My baby was born on August 3, 2017 without any chromosomal differences or trisomies.

Relax, you are worrying yourself too much! I did the same thing. I was convinced my son had a cleft palate due to a shadow on the sonogram photo. My doctor reassured me at my next appt that nothing was amiss. The machines are so sophisticated these days that it’s hard to miss things that are obviously wrong. Take a deep breath! Everything will be okay!

I just keep looking at his feet pictures and his profile and hands and wonder if they or i missed something

My son had one at the 20 week US. It was gone at the 30 week scan they ordered to recheck

If there are no other markers for trisomy, then there's nothing to worry about. They are extremely common, and a lot of doctors believe the cysts could very well be part of baby's brain development. My boys had two at 20 weeks, and they were gone by 30 weeks ?

Same thing happened to me at my 20 week scan last week. I had some blood drawn and will be getting a more advanced ultrasound done. Dont worry yourself too much hun. Its actually pretty common to see these cysts and they usually resolve themself.
