Hope the weather cooperates for you guys on your trip. We did cross country last winter with the 5 kids, wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I would be chicken too ?

It appears to be snowing or has snowed recently for a large majority of the drive. Yay lol

Where are you moving to? I'll be sad that you're no longer in WI!
squishymommy1·
We are moving to the Pacific Northwest! About 2 hours north of Seattle and 5 miles from Canada ?
deleted-user·
Just sneak across the boarder and come live as Canadians ?
deleted-user·
Be careful if you have to pass through the Snoqualmie Pass I have heard the snow there can make driving really treacherous
squishymommy1·
That's the plan when s*** hits the fan here in the US lol. It's 5 miles drive to the boarder. I'm pretty sure it's only like 3 miles if we hoofed it through the forest straight north. Bear Grills that s*** !

Lil, we are going around it and taking the southern route and coming up south into WA through Portland.

5 miles from canada!!!!! Was that a selling point? ?
squishymommy1·
It was. Kinder eggs for all

Omg good luck & safe travels. Oregon is a mess with flooding and landslides right now. Idk what area tho. I just saw it in the news
squishymommy1·
Oh goody ?

Hopefully the passes will be open when you get this way. Right now all passes are closed in Washington. Good luck.

Our route avoids all the passes in WA. We did that purposely because we also wanted to avoid the continental divide. We go over some mountains in Oregon and Utah I think?

Yaa. Idk if you have chains.. But if you do I would keep them accessible just because the weather is freaking out and you never know if you might need them...
That being said we went up to the mountains to snowboard last weekend in a blizzard and we didn't even have snow tires and were in our hybrid car and were fine. So I think people freak about snow more here....

Yay ?
