Actually, I have been doing this for 13 years... Went to a health seminar as a teenager and they told us to squat. I can't have a bm without squatting now.

Your not technically "squatting". It raises your legs up so that your body is squatting but your still sitting on the toilet.

I'm baffled by others difficulty pooping. It's such an easy quick visit to the toilet. Maybe it's because I'm a vegetarian?

My grandmother - in-law has one of these. I didn't realize what it was until now. Lmao. I thought it was some wacky step stool since she's so short and has a tall ass toilet.

KPatrick...thanks! My parents did the walls (the floor is actually linoleum). They also did my kitchen, kids bathroom and laundry room all in tile as well.

It is not normal to be in a sitting position and pass bowels. It's just not natural. Having your legs raise like in a squatting position will make you strain less.

My old boss used to say that chairs are the reason westerners have hip problems and that people who sit on the floor/cross legged have healthier hips.

It also makes since were designed to squat-think of a toddler when they poop, also babies will raise their legs when pooping
