Will you be my neighbor?
Will you be my neighbor?
Our public radio station had a segment the other day, and shared that only about 20% of people on average actually know their neighbors! So that got me thinking, do you know your neighbors? Hang out with them? Ignore them? Wish they'd move?

I live in a Huge apartment so I don't know any of my neighbors, except for the two little cute kids that come by my apartment to say hi to my son and ask for Popsicles every day lol

We only have neighbors on one side (my inlaws) and it's pretty nice having them there so I wouldn't change that. Our across the street neighbors are rude, they stare, cuss at each other (in their front yard) loudly, oh, and they run a construction business operated illegally out out of their residential yard. So people are constantly parked in front of my house, generators going, tractors in the road, you name it they do it. So I kinda wish they would fall off the face of the earth ?

I love all my neighbors well at least from my floor I know all of them :)

Our neighbors are SO's family, except for the one house behind us. One of my SO's sisters hangs out with her, but I personally don't like the neighbor. She's nothing but a snake in the grass.

I like a few of my neighbors. Can't stand a couple. A lot of them I don't even know. I do regularly "hang out" with one of them. We have drinks around a fire in the evenings and watch movies and do crafts together. Our oldest kids are dating each other so it's nice that they can spend so much time together and still be in a fun and supervised environment. Both kids are very honest with us about their relationship. One big happy family. ?

I absolutely hate out neighbors. The wife is constantly complaining about every move we make and the husband is a total douche canoe. She had a daughter from a past relationship and that poor girl is so mistreated. They have a daughter together and she gets all of the love and attention. From sun up to sun down all I hear is the older girl being yelled at or crying. I wish so hard I could go scoop her up and give her the love she needs. The little girl is maybe 6. ?

A.family you have to elaborate lol

My neighbor next door always stops to talk to us if we are outside together. We apologized if our kids ever made too much noise, and he did the same. That's when we all realized how thick our walls are. He even offered SO a job. But he can't take it with ds1's school schedule. But it's nice to FINALLY have a cool neighbor

We've owned our home for just over a year. We know our neighbors across the street, to the left of us, and the left of that neighbor. The rest will wave in passing but otherwise keep to themselves.

I know what they look like but dont really talk to them. The lady next door talks to me when I'm outside and says hi and stuff but I dont even know her name.

DH knows the neighbors. I leave it up to him to get in good with them lol
Socializing isn't my cup of tea.
So him and the guy next door are friends. I've meet the old lady across the street when she helped me catch my dog in the pouring ass rain one day. But her grandkids drive me crazy because they keep trying to steal my dogs.
But the majority of my other neighbors only speak Spanish, and we don't, so it makes getting to know one another difficult.

We recently moved into this house, so I haven't gotten to know the neighbors too well, but a few of them have children close in age to mine, and they play out in the cul de sac pretty frequently so I should make a point if going out and getting to know them better.

We all sit on each other's porches and drink and talk s*** in the summers. It's great.

We're friendly with one, wish one would move, and have met the other but don't see him much. And we hang out regularly with our other neighbor and his wife, help with any farm work and usually have a weekly lunch with them.

I live on a small island in Scotland so I know just about everyone in the community we live in.
My neighbours are very nice, although the wife is a little nosey and likes to gossip. They are a retired couple and they are very sweet with our son. Their grandkids come and play in our garden when I am home.

I don't know any of my neighbors. We moved in 3 months ago and not a single one of them have so much as said "hey!" When we say it. ????

We live in a subdivision and know sooo many of our neighbors. Our kids play together, we are all friends, we hang out often and have parties. The men have poker nights and the women have girls nights! I love my neighbors, so sad to be moving next weekend. ?

I hate all my neighbors. And pretty sure half of them just saw my ass.

I JUST moved two days ago and I don't, when we lived in co we knew most of our neighbors and smoked/drank with some of them.
Not gonna lie, the neighborhood we live in now we're surrounded by 1-3million dollar homes so I don't see us getting to know them.. We're the crappy looking house :(

I thought this was going to be a post about Daniel tiger lol

We talk to ours in passing, but that's about it. I chat with the other moms when I take Garrett to the playground at our building. But I don't really know them.

Yes I know my neighbors. I wish they would move. They smoke pot 24/7 and it gets into my heater so in he winter my whole house is hot boxed.
They also fight 24/7 and since they life under me I hear everything. Them slamming the door rattles my entire place, they also throw stuff all the time so I hear that.
They are pieces of junk...

We moved into a new home 11 months ago, none of our neighbors spoke to us except one lady who lived at the end of the subdivision. She saw us moving in and came to welcome us. I found out 3 months ago that my next door neighbor is my coworker, I was in shock when I saw her bringing out her trash.

My neighbors on the left are my aunt and grandma. The ones on the right i do not know them by name but i dont like them they complain about everything and anything and their dogs always bark and jump on the fence trying to bring it down.
