Public arrest records
How do I find these without having to pay money? I've tried several different sites, and all of them want money to show me the records. I know there has to a free way to do this?

In MD it's a website called Judiciary Case Search. Maybe they have an equivalent for CA?

I'm curious too. Also, I want to know how to look up my ex's records.

Following because I'm nosy and bored at work ?

What's the story? I know we're all waiting. Lol

I wanna know too!
Did you meet a new guy? And he seems like he's hiding something?
Sorry if you're married. Lol I don't look at everyone's posts.
But I've done this before with a new guy. Yep. Armed burglary charge and all. So that's what it reminds me of.

So....who ya looking up?

Try www.vinelink.com Search for registered offenders, you can search by name and age or date of birth, and they will let you know where they are being held-it will not give you why they were arrested tho. You can also register to get alerts for when they are released and/transferred to another facility. If thats not what you are looking for try the Unified Judicial System and search the state in which you'd want to inquire about and look for magisterial (sp?) dockets
I used to use those sites ALL of the time

In my state (CA) you can search case records by name for $1. It's on the superior court website.

You can get a restraining order without an arrest.Idk how everything is set up where this took place. There sheriff office I worked for you could just call the booking intake and booking department and people would ask about their arrests. You could and so call the records division.Last place would be the court house. We had a system called NCIC which pulls up any warrants and protective orders on someone. This was in a different state though.

You don't need an arrest for the person to get a restraining order. For me my ex threaten me through text messages and that was enough for a judge to issue a 5 year order. He was never arrested for that incident and had no prior arrest either.

I always go to the county website and search jail/sheriff/bond records.

I know nothing about restraining orders...don't you need proof or an arrest to get one? On the restraining order docket or whatever it says there is a hearing on the 24th.
deleted-user·
No the restraining order and arrest wouldn't be linked together, even if the arrest lead to the restraining order or vise versa.

More digging by a super sleuth friend....found the restraining order, no arrest record though. That would be attached to it wouldn't it?

There are apps that give mug shots and reasons for arrest. I had one to keep watch on my older twos dad when he kept going to jail.

I hope this helps!

Where I am you just look up the county court house and they have a page you can search for free for the whole state.

I've tried all the methods (except calling)
None have yielded any results as far as arrest records, criminal charges or court dates...I do believe I was a fed a line of bull s*** . Which wouldn't surprise me.

Mobile patrol? It's an app that tells you inmates by county/jail. Some counties go all out with pics and details but others just show names.

Look up the district clerk for your county and all of the info is public and free. Search for criminal records or do a party inquiry and search the persons name.

Try (county name) courtconnect in a Google search. That's the engine my county uses for arrest records. Totally free.
You can also try the county superior court website.

Thanks everyone. Thanks Glitter....looked through all the mugshots. Not there. So I'm going with my initial gut feeling of....he's lying ?

Search under the county the person had residency in (whatever address is on their license/was on it at the time) and their record would be put under that specific county's court records.

I did try googling the name and city. No arrest records popped up. I'm assuming he's lying, but that's what I'm trying to find out.
deleted-user·
Did you Google the person and city or state?
I can find my dad's arrest records and court records as well as witness testimony just by googling his name and the city that the arrest happened in

It's California. Los Angeles county specifically

Where I used to love you just look up the county website and search arrest records. All of the information is on there for free. But idk if that's everywhere.
deleted-user·
If your state has an online repository you can look that way.

Search court dockets in the county the arrest happened in
