Clear ice is a myth

A big liar myth that people lie about! Except that I know it exists because people carve out of clear ice. I've tried everything. Some is clearer then others. But none has been clear with no cloudyness. Why?!?!?!? WHYYYYY?!?!?!? I give up.

I'm wondering if I put my bullet vibrator on the mold if it will shake all the bubbles out....

We once asked a bartender who had a giant ice sculpture at the bar and he said its some special machine that pulls the air bubbles to the top and they cut the top part off. They special order it so I think it might be impossible to do at home... He also explained the lack of air in the ice keep it frozen a lot longer than our normal kitchen ice. I thought it was interesting lol

Boiling the distilled water got it the clearest. Still cloudy in the center though.

Because I want it pretty? Lol

We use lots of different ice molds and you can't see them with the cloudy ice. RO water didn't work. We have a whole house RO system.

I have a reverse osmosis filtration system and I have clear ice!

White ice grosses me out!

I boil mine and let it cool, that seems to work for me. It might have to do with what's in the water, even though it's been filtered?

I can't get it perfect though. ?

Watch Going Deep with David Rees.

He did an episode on how to get clear ice. Mainly its because it freezes from the outside in and traps ice and particles in the center as it freezes last. The ice carvers uses convection current freezers. Since the water is always moving it freezes from the inside out.

Edit: it doesn't trap ice its supposed to say air.

Clear ice is frozen in layers slowly and the water has a current

Tried that. Tried boiled water. Tried room temp water. Tried distilled, and purified and drinking water and RO water. Freezing with Saran Wrap in a cooler, in a tray of pre chilled salt water and a combination of every variation. I give up.

If you put warm water in an ice tray...it forms cloudy ice.

Put really cold water...it should cone out clear.

Unless I misunderstood the post.
