Wooooo my new custom carrier is finished! Can't wait to get it.
No he's amazing. I think he's the person I'll miss most of all. We both cried lots of tears saying goodbye. No chickens. I use an Amautik in the winter. Which is an Inuit babywearing coat.
I was the mommy dialogues too. All the original founders of MommyCon were. TMD is dead now. No one writes for it anymore.
I dunno Braun lol im probably like the last person you should ask because I wish nothing but fire and brimstone on the entire thing ?...I don't know a single vendor who is "happy" with it
It was a tough decision to quit. I LOVED my job. I started it for FSMs sake! Being "famous" if only in a small group of people was awesome and fun and I'll really miss that. I made some amazing friends and contacts and I will always wish things could have been different and that Xza wasn't a liar who used people to get to where she wanted to go.
I won't miss being unappreciated, overworked, underpaid, not valued, talked down to, made to feel like s*** and having someone try to control me.
Lol Squishy, I've heard stuff about Mommycon but I don't do rumors and gossip so I just ear and don't believe unless it's coming from the horses mouth.
I work with events it's my business. Things like bloggycon and stuff I'd like to explore and stuff.
It's very very hard literally to do those events, sheez I do know the back end for sure!
For many many MANY reasons. But the main reason being is for this very reason. She didn't start this s*** alone and i deserve recognition for the incredible amount of hard work I've put in to make it what it is. It's become the Laney and Xza show and while I love Laney, there is a REASON that Xza is the only one left of the 5 original founders. I just happen to be the only one who can talk about it because everyone else signed NDAs. She built her empire on the corpses of lost friendships and I can't wait to sit back and watch it burn to the ground..which she's surly going to do.
Yup, despite what she leads people to believe. I'm a founder. She should kiss my ass because she's where she is because of me.
I did. Well one of the 5 that founded it. Don't let Xza make you think she did that s*** alone. MommyCon wouldn't exist without me. I gave her pretty much all her f*** ing connections. Anyways....clearly I'm bitter ?????
Mommy, just some old Didy's. Not super old or anything. I had an orange tag didy (70's) at one point in my babywearing journey. I'd LOVE a 70's Pfau.
lky....maybe the sizing just isn't right? With my first one I actually took the measurement directly from my KP because the KP fit me perfectly
I no longer do anything. I'm the founder of MommyCon and have done that for the last several years, but quit last month. My hubby is the VP of engineering for a software development company.
Really? I was a super big KP fan before I tried MGG. I sold all my KPs to fund my MGGs ?
What do you like about KP more?
Because she enjoys snuggles too sometimes. I regularly wear my 4 year old, for school pick up and the store. It's a hell of a lot easier.
I'm 5'2 ?
When I first started...those long 11 years ago lol there wasn't AS much variety, in fact there was like a dozens options outside of bjorns. Until the last couple years the most expensive was a Pamir wrap which is handwoven on a really old loom and they only make like 13 a year or something. Prior to maybe 5 years ago? The most expensive carrier was a dyed Pamir that went for $2,200. The babywearing market has exploded since when I started....but also because of that I have a lot of wraps that can't be found anymore because they are so old.
$1000 is nothing in the grand scheme of what carriers have gone for. There was a hand woven wrap called an Uppymama that someone paid $11,000 for. For realsies.
I have very few compared to many ???? I also don't buy the $1,000+ Tula's, Obimamas/wraps. I've only ever bought one carrier that was over $1000 and I don't even have it anymore ?
Chicken....this is a 19x19. It fits both my 4 and 6 year old depending on how I wear the waist. It's an heirloom. I'll wear my grandchildren in this.
All together including the cost of the wrap $479. I had the wrap though. The conversion was $268
This is GORG! And tbh not as much as I was expecting you to say. *jelly*
