New Britax car seat!!!!!!
Maybe I'm the only one who really cares or who is literally dancing with delight. Britax released a new "game changer" convertible. And it is....just that. It's AMAZEBALLS!!!!!! I want it, I need it, I MUST have it! For many years I've wished Britax would get their head out of the sand and make ERF seats so I could tell people to buy them (their old convertibles kinda suck with regards to ERF). Sadly in 2010 they shortened the already short shell by another 2 inches! But it's all changed now. Thank you Britax. I love you. Big puffy heart, you are awesomesauce love you.
@kris a used carseat and you don't have the manual? I wouldn't use it. You want the correct manual for your seat at all time for specifics on height and weight limits, how to install, adjust things etc. I'd invest in a new seat you can get them pretty inexpensive if that's an issue
I haven't actually gotten my hands on one Clarem...I'm hoping they send one to MommyCon Memphis. To me they appear to be about as wide as the Chicco
Squids...they are pretty equal as far as rearfacjng height limits. They have the exact same rearfacing weight limit.
It would depend on the child really. If the child is forward facing, no. There really is no point in buying a convertible for a child who is already forward facing and you should instead look at the combinations seat Frontier/Pinnacle. If the child is still rearfacing and has just hit the height limit of the previous seat....yes! It would be an excellent choice.
The marathon is a VERY different seat then the advocate and boulevard. The marathons headrest when in its top position is still encased within the shell of the seat. The advocates and boulevards rises above the top of the shell.
Yes Britax says they will be released in Canada in Nov. Link is a couple comments down.
Yes, the top harness slot is 19.5 inches...which is only 1 inch less then it's big brother combination seat the frontier which is only 1 inch taller at 20.5. It will get pretty much every child harnessed until at LEAST 6. But probably closer to 8.
I'm totally geeking with you Squishy!
Another parenting community I used to frequent LOVED britax seats & their loyalty wouldn't sway. I hated that they were so loved despite most of their kids having to be turned so early, some even before 2.
I'm so glad to hear that combined with their ease of use they'll have good erf options now. Yes! Yes! Yes!
There's a HUGE difference in the boulevard and the advocate. The marathon (new one) has a different install and slightly higher shell then the previous. The Boulevard and Advocate have reinforced headrest so the height limit has been extended. The g4's ( and previous models) are outgrown when the top of their head is 1 inch from the top of the shell. The new ones are outgrown when their head is 1 inch from the top of the headrest when full extended. It makes it equal with the Gracos for highest rearfacing height limit on the market.

I want the boulevard. I WILL have the Kaleidoscope boulevard.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
@amc, the height and weight is on the side. Money isn't an issue, I'd just like to have two, one for me and my fiancé's car. Not necessary but thought if I found out it was safe it would be nice to save the money.
