Water breaking early and second pregnancy
Water breaking early and second pregnancy
I posted this before but never got responses. My water broke early (35 w 6 days) with my son. I had to do Ivf with donor eggs to conceive and I have 1 embryo left. He is 15 months now so wondering if I transfer do I have a higher risk of having this happen even earlier?

My water broke early too (34 weeks 6 days, baby was delivered at exactly 35 weeks). We're now thinking about trying for our second and I'm having the same thoughts. My doctor did talk to me about the weekly shots beginning at 16 weeks, so I'm hopeful the second can go to full-term. Good luck to you! ?

My first was pprom at 30 weeks, born at 34 and 3 after 25 days of very strict hospital bed rest. I'm currently 27 and a half weeks pregnant with baby number 2. I have been on weekly progesterone shots since 16 weeks and will continue them until 36. I had ultrasounds every two weeks up until 24 weeks to check my cervix. With no known reason for my first pprom the docs said a 20 percent chance of it happening a second time, but the progesterone makes it 30 percent more likely not to happen. Hope this helps, it honestly depends on the reason for your water breaking early.

My first was born at 32 weeks. With my second pregnancy I was on weekly progesterone injections and also had a cervical pessary put in at 24 weeks. I ended up delivering baby #2 at 36 weeks.
