I think that’s okay. I kept my pregnancy out of social media til about 3 months ago. I’m not single so I have no insight there but if you feel like you must, do it. You don’t have to post anything. My bf would ask me if I felt in some way ashamed about being pregnant and tbh I just wasn’t ready to let everyone I knew, know. It was a personal decision, plus I spent most of my time puking so what was there to even post about? Lol I haven’t posted anything on my fb tho just ig. In the end it’s YOUR pregnancy, post if you want or don’t it you don’t want to. ❤️ you can always post on here and it’s kind of like you are still sharing just not with people that know you or are related til you feel ready. And if you never feel ready then so be it. You pull a Kylie and just announce it after baby is born lol
I’m the type of person who doesn’t post personal information on social media, but I am an active user of Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitter. I have over 2000 pics on Instagram! I’m currently 24 weeks pregnant and I’ve only told close friends/family about it while keeping it off of all social media outlets.
I just don’t like feeling as if I’m “hiding” my pregnancy. Even though I’m not in a relationship, I don’t feel ashamed about it. I’m happy and excited to be bringing life into the world. People support me not posting about being pregnant, but my question is why? Why do I keep getting the advice not to post about it? I’ll be 26 by the time my due date comes around. I’m a grown adult with nothing to hide from the world. I won’t post newborn hospital pictures or allow others to take pictures before I do, but sometimes I feel the urge to make a pregnancy post online.
Just looking for insight and experience from all you other mommies out there!
I've had a previous marriage where everyone and their mama was in my business. So now I'm more of a private person. I don't want anyone in my business I don't choose to be. I've also struggled with infertility and find people are very insensitive at times.
Who knows. You could create a spark for other strong women who are doing this parenting thing alone. I was upfront about my situation without necessarily getting into toooo much detail. It’s up to you. I feel like some people say to keep it discreet because it’s frowned upon to raise a child alone. But it’s not your fault. I’m proud of the human being I raised by MYSELF. No dad included.

I never revealed my pregnancy on social media. No pics. Nothing. And I plan for my son never to be on it either unless he chooses.
