Is it easier to get a toddler bed or just get a single bed with a bed guard?

We bought our eldest (now 5) a toddler bed at 18 months as he could climb out of the cot. It was lower so a lot safer and meant he could do it himself. It also took up a lot less room in his bed. He’s only just moved to a single bed in the last 2 months. So he got a good 3 and a half years out of it.

We’ve got a cotbed this time around and will deffo use that as the toddler bed.

We bought a toddler bed, our little boy was 15 months when we transitioned him over from cot bed to toddler bed even though they're same size we needed the cot for the new baby born 4 months later.

It was just the right size for him climbing in and out and we used a wooden babydan shorter length bed bayed as fitted better with the bed. He's still in it now at 2 and a half.

Another idea would be to use a floor bed 🙈 x

@mummyto2boys Fair enough, just saw alot of people on Facebook say a single bed is easier so then you don't have to buy two beds xx

I would say toddler bed because it's lower down for them so if they do fall out, and easier for them to climb in and out of, I've just put McKenzie in his bed tonight took the side off and it's really low and got bed guard on too xx
