I get where you are coming from pp but people with warrants for a crime are not usually sitting on the curb getting written a ticket.
Or y'all all could be wrong and that gentleman is just sitting politely on the side of the road while the police officer decides which flowers he's buying for his wife and finishes up the card for her. People are so quick to jump to conclusions rather than question all the possibilities and hope for the best.
@K.Sinclair I made no comments about his supposed immigration status. I would feel this way about a person regardless of assumed immigration status, whether they were street vending or panhandling.
Maybe it's because I live in LA and they are a lot more lax about street vending and even looking into decriminalizing it.
Im so tired of the "its illegal so he deserves it" i hate people who say that. He is doing a job a providing for his family. Not selling drugs, not looking sad begging for money, not stealing...
While we don't know the exact scenario shown in this pic, it still serves as a reminder that this Does happen to innocent people. People minding their own business, trying to provide for their family. Meanwhile white people like Brock turner get away with rape. But sure, immigrants are the main source of this country's violence. I'll bet those flowers were laced with anthrax.
This makes me so sad. I used to work for a printing company and the lady's husband had got laid off and was selling flowers and bears and he got arrested and deported. I'm like dude how come the real criminals never get arrested ? Houston has so many wondering around.
You have zero idea about what happened. He could have a warrant, could have been involved in a crime, the list goes on.
Hmmm...Where I live there are panhandlers often. Cops often are buddies with them. But then, I'm a small town girl, so maybe that's why?

Who is pp? The outrage lies more with how police use resources.
Panhandling is also illegal this guy is trying to make a living.
Your making an assumption that he is cuffed due to his race. Yet you really have no idea.
Maybe I'm missing something, but isn't it illegal to sell things without a permit? Anyone selling stuff on the side of the road here would be ticketed, or arrested depending on how they reacted.
Even if this gentleman here is an immigrant, he wouldn't be in trouble for that! Maybe his visa is long expired?
I agree pp, about getting dangerous criminals, but we can't just uphold part of the law. ?
That's so ridiculous. It makes me angry. There are real criminals who hurt and put us in danger out there and he is getting cuffed for selling flowers on the street.
Oh god I hope it's not because they want immigration to go after him. Let the guy do his job. Lol ?

Yes ma'am. For providing for his family.
While violent criminals are still running the streets.
That's a lot of flowers. Wonder what he's apologizing for ??. Bet she's gonna be even more pissed if he's late now ??
