5 months pp. I tore inward instead of down. I still can't have sex is too painful. Can't even use a tampon when i get my period ? feels like shards of glass when there's any kind of penetration. I don't know what to do.

If it's discomforting did you guys tell your doctor? I phoned the nurses line for women's health and they said it would go away on it's own..

Me too. I'm only 6 weeks almost 7 weeks pp though.

My doctor said eventually it should go back to normal. I had a second degree tear from near my opening to all the way around (yes that's right, I said around) my butthole.

Sex is a little uncomfortable/painful unless a ton of lube is used

I had an episiotomy with my first (sunny side up baby) and my stitches broke at 6 days pp. I got re-stitched in my OB office. I had a lot of scar tissue that felt like sitting on a knife during sex or if I sat too long. I had to do physical therapy for 3 months to fix it.

Nope. I tore with all three of my kids and I don't feel any differently. Thank goodness!

No. I tore twice in the same spot and I'd never know it was there. Feels the same as it always has after it healed.

Yes. I had a 2nd almost 3rd degree tear. They didn't stitch me back completely but was "in limits" so they left it. ?

Yes ? up till like a year pp. I'm taking the water birth route this time because it's supposed to help against tearing

Yep. Unfortunately. I am 19 months pp, and sex is still uncomfortable. I had a second degree tear. I haven't brought it up with my doctor, but I plan to when I go in for my yearly exam in June.

I'm also 7 months pp. I tore and had an episiotomy. I haven't tried to feel it with my fingers but sex is uncomfortable. Part of iy is psyhological for me too though and i think tense up more because of it makinh it worse.

tmi but I don't let him withdraw all the way because it hurts when he goes back in. I hope it doesn't last forever

Its never going to be the same. I had a second degree tear too and you can see where the stitches were. It feels a little bumpy. I'm preggo with my second and I'll prob tear with my second in 3 weeks but oh well. It is what it is. You could still be healing a little bit too.

I did the first few times we did the deed. But it stretched back out after a couple months.

I have to be honest though, I was hopeful i would tear with my second so they would fix it completely. I didn't tear at all and he was 3lbs heavier than my first.

With ds2 I had 6 stitches. It was really painful when we tried to dtd for months and months after. I went back to the OB and she said when they stitched me up, they put an extra stitch, so it would take time to not be painful or they could snip a little piece of skin. Uh, no... I waited it out. Lol
