I hate my job. I work in an office setting and I’ve been here for 5 years. I’m ready for a change... all I do now when I’m at work is apply for new jobs. I barely even get any work done. But I’m 14 weeks pregnant and I’m nervous how things will go if I start a new job and then have to go on maternity leave. Not to mention, I’m nervous about just going on an interview knowing I’m pregnant. Do I tell them during the interview? After I get the job? I’m just so confused but I hate my job so much and coming here everyday literally drains me. I only work about 5 or so hours a day, usually get here around 8 and off around 130 but I wake up at 6 go get the kids ready and off to school. But afterwards I literally can’t do anything, I’m so drained from being bored for so long and everything irritates me. I can’t even be there for my kids at home because it’s like every little thing they do bothers me. This job just has me so stressed... 😔

I mean I personally would stay until i KNEW I found something better. You may want that flexibility later on in your pregnancy so I would take that into consideration because it sounds like the schedule works really well for you. I would be worried about finding a job that’s also problematic AND you don’t have as much flexibility because you’re new. I got two new jobs my last pregnancy and didn’t tell either until after.

@shannae3, the company has about 300 employees. I don’t get any benefits as a part time employee. The most I get is PTO and a matched 401k. I have a pretty flexible schedule, meaning I can make my own hours and go in when I please. However, working in the mornings work best for me since I have to pick my kids up from school. To be honest, it’s not necessarily worth staying because there is no room for growth in my position. And I’ve basically been told that I will never do anything else there...

Girl u have more then enough time. Ur happiness is most important to me. If ur job is affecting ur life like u say it is, ur definitely doin the rite thing by seeking new employment.

What kind of benefits do ur current job offer to a part time employee?

Is it worth staying?

How many employees do it have more then 45 ?

With my job now I was working there literally less than a month when I found out I was pregnant I was so nervous because I was on my probation period and I didn't want them to think I hid it from them. But I was lucky and work for a great company they were so nice and generous and welcoming. They ever said I could take 3 months off instead of 6 weeks if I wanted lol

@shayybear, if I don’t happen to find a new job before I’m 25 weeks, then I’ll most likely do this. But regardless of me finding a job or not, I’m seriously thinking of not returning after my maternity leave is over

I'd stay with your job through your pregnancy and take maternity leave. Towards the end of it, or even after, start looking again. Then put your two weeks (?) In if you find one.

That makes sense... hopefully anywhere that I possibly get employed would be gracious enough to hire me back

You're not obligated to disclose the fact that you're pregnant in an interview. If you do switch jobs, just beware that you may not qualify for maternity leave. You usually have to be somewhere for a year for that benefit to be available. At my job though, if you have to go on leave before a year they just terminate your employment and hire you again when you're ready to come back. Good luck!

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?
